Current Music: Heroes Of Our Time
If anyone is going to ask, that bullet hole is from where I shot myself from how much fucking reading, writing and memorizing I have to do. I'm not going to bitch about it on here but let's just say I barely have any time to myself anymore. And when I do, it's either with Rachel, memorizing my fucking paragraphs of lines I have to know or trying to rewind and play the 360. I don't have time to have a life right now and it sucks so much. Anyways, I want to apologize to all the people I haven't talked to that I have wanted to talk to. I got some time to talk to a few people like Paula and Tony but that's about it. So I apologize. I also apologize to Natalie and G-Sac. I've been so stressed I completely forgot to re-call and wish you guys happy b-days. I tried on your actual b-days but the reception has been getting more and more terrible by every passing day. Damn dead zones. So happy late late late birthdays. I'm so sorry I missed the chance to say it to you. Anyways, this weekend is my only real free weekend. I get to take a break from reading and writing for at least saturday and sunday afternoon. And wouldn't you know it, Tony is coming up to visit so hopefully I can get in a cheerful mood again. Anyways, I had finished the latest chapter in the story awhile ago but I didn't get a chance to post it. So I'm posting it now. Really important chapter. yay. Read. Chapter Fifteen: Unwelcome Welcomed Guest -=The Fourth Day=- 12:12 AM Sam and Liza fell to the ground, pushed by the three siblings. They were at the fire pit again, and all of the Eleven were there. They looked around to find their friends all around them. Jen, CJ, Cameron and Samantha were the only ones that were awake. Sam looked around at all of them. They had all been injured and beaten. Dirt and snow covered them all from head to toe. And a few of them had blood. He made a movement towards them, to check on them. But a chuckle stopped him. He turned and looked up. The Eleven stood in their line again, towering over the defeated friends. Geintz stood in front of them, his arms crossed in front of him. He was the one chuckling. “Well, here we are.” He said as he finished chuckling. “Back where we were only minutes ago. Except now, you are defeated.” “We’re not defeated. How about you try fighting us fairly?” Jen said, trying to move. She winced in pain, reaching towards her back. Sam could see a giant gash sliced into her back. “Fairly? We fought you the way we know. The way of destroying our target’s morale. Then strategically and efficiently separate them and take them out, one by one. Unfortunately for us, there aren’t enough of us to take you all out one on one. So we split up, just as you did. And we still fulfilled our objective.” He explained. “You call that fair?” Samantha snapped. “Well, maybe it doesn’t seem fair to you. But it is our custom. And unfortunately for all of you, you have no say in how we choose to fight you.” Geintz said. Suddenly, Cameron jumped up from his spot, thrusting his fist forward to punch Geintz. The Eleven’s leader quickly moved aside of the half-energized punch and quickly raised his knee up, hitting Cameron square in the gut. This knocked out the wind out of him and took any fight out of him. Geintz grabbed the back of Cameron’s shirt and threw him into the group of friends lying on the ground. This caused a stir out of a few of them, namely Paula and Natalie. Geintz noticed the movement and turned his attention to Sam. “Pick the two girls up and stand them in front of us. They will be the first.” Urgantava chuckled behind him and moved forward. His large and strong hands grabbed both girls by the shirts and pulled them to their feet in front of the Eleven. Geintz never took his gaze off of Sam’s. Each pair of eyes staring at each other, which an equal amount of hate. “I want this one to see his friends killed in front of him. Until he is the last one.” Sam growled and tried to move quickly towards him but a bolt of lightning from Geintz’ gauntlet put him down. He cringed and struggled just to sit up, to look at his two friends. Geintz looked between the two girls, who were being held up by Urgantava due to their lack of strength. He moved forward and raised both their faces to him with both of his hands. Their eyes looked at him through slits, barely enough to show they were awake. Geintz smiled. He moved his face in close to Natalie and Paula’s. “I’m going to enjoy this for as long as I want.” He said to them, loud enough that Sam could hear him. “And it will be long. And painful. And in the end, death will be a sweet release.” Then he stepped back. He raised his right hand, his gauntlet hand, and took careful aim at Natalie first; right at her chest. He couldn’t help but chuckle malevolently. He had won. They had won. Suddenly, the sound of bending metal roared through the air, deafening everyone. Wind started blowing out of nowhere, blowing the snow on the ground in circles everywhere. The ground was shaking and the street light closest to the fire pit was flickering. Sam struggled to see through the snow but he could see that the pole holding up the street light was bending in a strange way. As if it was liquid and someone was stirring it. Then what could only be described as a mirage looking circle appeared. It was barely noticeable at first but began to take definite shape and with it, electricity ripped the ground from under it. It was like a flat pale blue pool facing the group and the Eleven. Suddenly, all the sound around went deaf and everything was moving blindingly fast. But there was no sound. How is this possible? Sam thought to himself. And then, in a quick rush, a deafening explosion of sound and the wind blew right through them and away. All movement ceased. The night fell quiet again. The snow settled on the ground. Everyone that was awake recovered their vision and managed to look towards the source, the street light. But the street light now lay on the ground, broken. And where the pole once stood, there was a figure. A black cloaked figure. The same cloak as the cloaks that the Eleven were wearing. It stood facing them. Very distinctly, Sam could see the shape of a Thyren machine bulge on the right arm of the newcomer. “This can’t be.” Sam heard the woman, Levita, say. “He shouldn’t have been able to get here this quick.” Geintz snarled. “His arm, you imbecile, you forgot about his arm.” The cloaked figured turned its covered head towards Geintz when he said this. Geintz quickly turned to Urgantava, who was still holding Natalie and Paula. “Quickly! Smash them in before-“ But it was already too late. As Geintz spoke, the cloaked figure was in motion. One second he was standing, the next he was at Urgantava. His right foot pushed off the ground and he soared through the air, over the tall alien. As he did, he reached his arms out and wrapped them around Urgantava’s neck. This pulled the bruiser from his spot and caused him to let go of Natalie and Paula. As they fell, the cloaked figure and Urgantava stayed in motion. The cloaked figure brought Urgantava with him and as soon as his right foot hit the ground again, his upper body muscles tightened and he threw Urgantava through the air. The confused alien flew through the air for a short time before slamming hard into a pile of debris, causing dirt and snow to fly up in a giant puff. And all this before Natalie and Paula hit the ground. Both girls never hit the cold, snowy ground. They were stopped, as the cloaked figured had grabbed them both right after, at some amazing speed, and flung them over his shoulders. Both girls were starting to come back to reality now and were well aware that this cloaked figure had, indeed, just saved their lives. He turned, with them on his shoulders, towards the group of friends and slowly let them onto the ground. The Eleven had taken steps back, separating themselves from this new figure and were standing frigid and on guard. Paula winced in pain but managed to raise her eyes to look at the figure that now stood over them. By the way his hood was turned; it looked like he was looking at her. That’s what it spoke. “You know, it must be something about this world that brings out the hero in me. Simply because every time I come here, I always happen to save you right away.” It couldn’t be. All of the friends who were awake stared at the figure, wide-eyed and in shock, as it raised its hands up to the hood and pulled it off of its head. “Oh my god…..Ian.” There stood the once-fallen but never forgotten hero Ian, after five years of being presumably dead. He looked significantly more mature now than he did years ago. His hair was wildly long and unkempt. A very bushy goatee had developed around his mouth and onto most of his chin. And a long scar ran from bottom of his right eyebrow down to right next to his nose. Although not deep and hideous, it was clearly noticeable. Plus he was taller and much bigger in build. It was Ian but a whole new Ian. “Hi guys. You miss me?” He said, with a half smile. Obviously his mannerisms and cocky but meaningful smile had never changed. But before any of them could formulate an answer, Geintz interrupted. “Liberator, welcome home. Hope you don’t mind that we threw you a home-warming party.” He said, pure wickedness oozing in every word. “Not at all, Geintz.” Ian said loudly, turning towards the Eleven. He took a quick look around. “Although I must say, I’m not a fan of what you’ve done to the place.” “You know our customs. Bodies and blood to welcome a martyr.” Levita said. “I wouldn’t call myself a martyr to human-kind. Maybe more along the lines of…guardian. That seems to fit nicely in my personality.” Ian said, obviously jesting at the homicidal Eleven. Geintz lowered his face, his eyes now glaring at Ian’s. Ian’s face became stern and serious as he stared back at the leader of the Eleven. “Well then, guardian.” Geintz said, as he raised his right hand slowly. “Protect your people.”

Sup all Next chapt Enjoy! Chapter Fourteen: Unearthly Predicament -=The Third Day=- 11:58 PM The Eleven had already disappeared by the time CJ and Jen had unleashed three shots each. The group of friends immediately started looking around, searching for any sign of the alien invaders. “What the hell? How did they get out of the way so fast?” Natalie asked. “We told you. They can move extremely fast. I’m more surprised they didn’t just reflect the bullets back at us.” Jen said. “We need to find them. As much as I hate the idea, split off into groups of two. That way we’re not alone. Don’t move too far away though; if any of us gets in too much trouble, we want to be at a distance to get to them.” Everyone nodded in agreement. Sam tapped Garret and motioned for Liza to follow them as well, and then they started walking away from the fire. Everyone did something similar; Paula with Natalie, Samfa with Cameron, Tony with Haley and Jeff, CJ with Jen. The friends moved at a slow and easy pace, searching around every corner, prepared for a surprise attack. Just then, snow started to fall from the sky down onto Revere; a heavy, thick snow. It fell hard and fast; narrowing the vision of all of them. This was not going to be an easy fight. Samantha and Cameron walked slowly towards the remains of the movie theatre, moving around cars with great care. Flipped vehicles were everywhere and numerous as they got closer to the destroyed entrance. Cameron held his katana carefully out in front of him and Samantha held her bo with both hands, ready to strike. “Where could they have gone?” Cameron asked her, quietly. “I don’t know but I think they wanted to split us up like this. I don’t like it.” She said back quickly. “As long as we keep our wits about ourselves, we should be fine.” He said back as he turned his head to look at her. He flashed her a quick, reassuring nod. “Hello child.” A strangely guttural voice said from in front of him, right out of his view. Shit. He was already half way traveling through the air before he actually even felt the cold, hard fist hit him in the face. His body sprawled awkwardly and he flipped heels over head. His dazed and somewhat shattered view managed to see the cold hard pavement rushing up to meet him before he actually felt it this time. That didn’t stop it from hurting. He hit the ground hard and rolled, feeling his skin get cuts. He stopped suddenly as he hit something hard and he groaned in agony, the pain over-whelming him quickly now that he had stopped. He could barely hear Samantha yelling his name. He felt another hand reach down and clasp his shirt and felt himself get heaved up. He came face to face with the one known as Levita, grinning wickedly. He could barely see out of his right eye because of the swelling but his left eye was perfectly clear. Grinning wickedly. She leaned her head in close to him. “One punch too much for you, boy?” She asked him. Then she snickered. Cameron’s anger overtook his pain and he ground his teeth. He summoned up and then spit in her face, a mixture or saliva and blood. She reacted angrily, pulling her head back and snarling. Her left hand came up to wipe it away. “No, I guess not. You’ll just have to do better.” He couldn’t feel the katana in his hands anymore; he must have dropped it mid-flight. But as she managed to wipe away his spit, he raised his left hand up, rearing it back to punch. He may be hurt, but he sure wasn’t going out without putting up a fight. Meanwhile, Samantha struggled to catch her own breath as she had watched Cameron get sent flying at least twenty feet. She spun quickly to see what had hit him only to find the elderly Pretori, Hragen, standing there. She didn’t stare bewildered long; Samantha was always good at preparing herself even when surprised. She measured the distance between him and she quickly, calculated he was within hitting distance, and took action. She spun the bo around in an arc and took a strike at his head. It was direct, it was perfect. But he was quicker. He caught the bo in his right hand, not even half a foot away from hitting him. His gauntlet-covered hand wrapped around it tightly. He moved his ancient eyes to look at it. “Sticks, my child? How medieval.” His soft, guttural voice croaked out from his throat. With a quick yank, he had pulled it loose of her grip. He, himself, went into a spin with it and retaliated with a strike of his own. This attack struck Samantha on the left side of her ribcage. She let out a yell of pain fell to her right knee, clutching her side. The breath had been knocked out of her and the pain had felt like a freight train hitting her. He moved over to her slowly, a weak smile on his face. She looked up at him, hatred in her eyes. “That hurt that much, did it? Well then.” He said, looking down at the bo. Suddenly his Thyren machine whirred to life and electricity started sparking in its core. Then there was a flash and Samantha could see electricity running through her bo. It had a bright glow to it and sparks shot off of its hard wood surface. He looked at her again. “Let’s see how this feels then, shall we dear?” Her anger was fierce but she knew she couldn’t do anything. She clamped her teeth down hard as he swung at her again. * * * * * * * * * * * * Jen and CJ moved quickly through the debris, utilizing their police training to keep a lot out while covering ground quickly. They kept their backs to each other for the most part, watching each others weak spots. And they always had their pistols ahead of them, ready to fire at any time. The snow had started to get heavier now and their feet crunched on the new powder on the ground. “I don’t see anything. You?” CJ asked her. “Nothing. At least, not yet.” She responded to him. She looked up at the parking lot light that was above them. It’s amazing that they managed to turn all these lights on while at the same time it’s terrifying. She thought. CJ was busy searching the wreckage for any sign of movement. So far, everything stood still as it was covered in snow. He raised his left hand and brushed the snow off his head. He shook his head quickly. Then he looked up. Something moved. He saw a shadow or figure move around near a pile of wrecked cars. He reached back and tapped Jen’s back. She turned her head to look at him. He waved his hand towards the pile of cars, signaling her to move with him towards there. She nodded. They both raised their guns and made their way to the pile. As he got closer, he noticed that the pile was in the middle of an open area; there was no destruction around the area of the cars. CJ tightened his grip on his pistol, immediately seeing this as a threat and not a coincidence. When they reached the pile, two figures appeared out of nowhere, climbing out of nowhere. Jen turned and saw them and raised her gun again quickly. But she stopped. The twins, Yigi and Turjon, had stepped on top of the pile and with them; they both carried a single destroyed car. Without a second more, they quickly pulled their bodies back and heaved the car towards Jen and CJ. CJ grabbed Jen by her coat and yanked her backwards and both of them leapt back towards the way they came. The car fell right in front of them and as they hit the ground, they felt its impact shake the ground around them. It skidded a little on the snow but didn’t get nearly as close to them as CJ thought it would. Apparently they weren’t actually trying to hit us. He thought. They’re just playing with us. That made him angry. Jen and him recovered quickly and crawled over to the car. They pressed their backs to it. “Alright Jen, you watch them and cover me. I’m going to pop up and see if maybe I can hit them. Sound good?” She nodded and spun around to look. He took a breath and then proceeded to start jumping up to shoot. “No!” He heard. But it was too late. What Jen had seen was that Yigi was holding onto a car door in his right hand. His Thyren machine was running and electricity was pooling through the metallic door. Just as Jen had turned to look at them, he looked right at her. His right eye closed in a wink although his face remained unfeeling and blank. And then just as she heard CJ take a deep breath, he pulled the door back and flung it towards them like a Frisbee. A giant metallic electrified car door Frisbee. She yelled “No!” to CJ but knew it was too late. She reacted. She quickly moved to her left and dove against CJ, tackling him. She heard the car door rip through the car, the metal tearing metal sound agonizing loud. They both flew through the air out of the way of the full force. But suddenly Jen felt something sharp slice horizontally through the top of her back. This was quickly followed by the feeling of electricity shooting into her back and zapping her. Both she and CJ hit the ground hard and she immediately rolled off of him, screaming in pain. He back arched and gripped the snowy ground hard. CJ didn’t wait a second; he jumped up and turned her onto her stomach. A gash had cut across her upper back and blood was starting to run down her police uniform. Her screams died down into groans. “Jen! Say something to me.” He yelled at her. She groaned then, very weakly, responded with “It burns.” CJ looked around for something to help her. Then he realized. He reached down and grabbed a pile of snow in both his hands. He brought that over her back and quickly dropped it onto the open wound. She yelled again. He pushed down on the wound with the snow, packing it on top of it. “You alright partner? He asked her. “It hurts but the snow is helping. Thanks.” She said softly, trying not to move. “Of course. You saved me.” He said. But then he realized that the twins were probably still there. He slowly moved his gun up his side. He tried to look like he was still helping her. Then he turned hard and quickly towards the pile, raising his gun and fired two shots. Into nothing. They weren’t there anymore. He quickly looked around, holding his gun out in front of him. Then he slowly got up. He felt something tap his foot. He looked down to see Jen tapping him with her gun. He reached down and picked up her gun, now dual-wielding pistols. “Where are they?” She asked. “I don’t know.” He said. But just as he said that, he saw shadows starting to move everywhere, darting in and out of his vision. Behind cars and rubble and other objects. He spun around, trying to follow them. But they were too fast. He couldn’t keep up with them. It made him angry. “You bastards! Come out and fight!” He yelled and immediately started firing away. He fired anywhere he saw a shadow, both pistols spraying bullets across the parking lot. He spun around, shooting everywhere he could. He spread his arms apart, shooting in opposite directions and not even looking. That was his mistake. He felt the sharp end of a blade slide by is right shin, cutting it. Then right after, his left shin. He let out a yelp of pain, which caused him to stop shooting. He looked down to see only small cuts, nothing deep. It hadn’t even really hurt. But it had distracted him. He looked up just in time to see the boot come flying into his chest. He was sent flying back, both pistols dropping from his hands. He flew maybe ten feet; before he felt something rock-hard hit his back, knocking the wind out of him more. He slid down this quickly and then something equally as hard, although not nearly as large, fell and whacked him on the head on his way down. His feet hit the ground but he did not stand. He fell face first onto the ground though not unconscious, extremely dazed. He knew that he couldn’t react to anything now and that he and Jen were all but dead. He struggled to raise his head and managed to raise it enough to look out to her. He could see that one of the twins held her up by her neck. And the other one was marching over to him. * * * * * * * * * * * * “Take this!” Paula and Natalie didn’t get the satisfaction of making it more than 90 feet away from the fire pit before encountering the extremely strong Pretori Urgantava. They both looked up in time to see a large piece of cement hurled through the air towards them. Without even a glance at each other, both girls ran forward and dove under a car leaning against a debris pile, balancing on its two wheels away from them. The cement hit the icy hard cement of the parking lot and exploded into tiny pieces. Paula and Natalie covered themselves as the pieces were flung in all directions, even towards them. They heard Urgantava laughing; a deep, strong bellowing that sounded almost unintelligent. Both girls shook and brushed off the rubble and dust from them. “What’s the matter? Can’t fight me?” He asked, not really expecting an answer. He laughed again, this time even louder. Natalie gripped her sai tightly and looked at Paula. “This guy seems really annoying.” She said bluntly. “He also doesn’t seem that smart. Maybe we can outsmart him.” Paula said, taking out one of her knives. “I don’t see that happening anytime soon.” A voice said from outside their protection. Both girls turned their heads quickly to see Geintz, bent down looking at them. But before either one of them could react, his Thyren machine shot two bolts of electricity and engulfed the girls. They shook as the electricity ran through their bodies and they struggled to move but their bodies wouldn’t let them. Suddenly they felt like they were being pulled out from under the car. It didn’t take them long to realize that Geintz was actually pulling them out using the lightning. Once he had them clear of the car, the lightning stopped. Both girls groaned, smoke coming off of their bodies, pieces of their clothes burned. Geintz reached down and grabbed Natalie by the back of her shirt. Suddenly, she felt herself getting flung. She flew through the air, her body like a rag doll. She hit the ground hard, her hands letting go of her sai. She groaned again but started to regain some control of her body. She looked over to where the sai lay and started crawling over there. She reached out and grasped both of them, a sigh of relief emitting from her mouth for being armed again. But then she felt a large hand wrap around her left leg and yank her backwards. She slid across the snowy ground and then stopped. She spun onto her back to look up at the massively tall Urgantava standing over her. He had a grin on his face. “Hello there.” He said slowly, with such malice that it cut through the air. Then he quickly raised his right foot up, aiming for her chest. Natalie reacted quickly. She rolled to her left, dodging just in time as the foot slammed in the ground where she had just been. She got up to her knees and looked at him again. Now Urgantava had pulled his right fist back and was preparing to throw a punch. As he unleashed it and it traveled towards her, Natalie quickly pulled sai up in front of her. Then, by putting all her body weight into the push, she used the sai to reflect the Thyren covered fist from hitting her and instead forced it into the ground. The ground shook a little from his fist but Natalie didn’t wait to feel that. She quickly jumped from her knees to her feet and then jumped again and, with all her strength, smashed the butt of her left sigh into Urgantava’s head. He reeled back, shouting in pain. This left him wide open. Natalie ran forward, ready to sink the sai into this monster’s stomach. From afar, it sounded like Geintz had yelled something. Paula must be putting up a fight against him too. Maybe they would win. But Urgantava recovered quickly and thrust his right hand forward to grab Natalie by the neck. She gagged and he hoistered her up off the ground, choking her. But Natalie broke free. She quickly spun her right sai around and stabbed it down into Urgantava’s arm. He yelled again, this time louder and with more agony and let her go. Natalie fell to the ground and her left sai clattered away from her. She quickly turned and clambered up to get it but Urgantava had again, amazingly, recovered. This time he grabbed her from behind and wrapped his entire right arm up into her neck. She was choking again. But she still had her right sai. She raised it up to stab him in the same spot again. But he was ready this time. He grabbed her hand with his left and started to crush her hand. She tried to scream but couldn’t manage. Finally it caused too much pain and she let go of the sai. It fell heavily to the ground. Now Natalie struggled, grabbing at Urgantava’s arm, head, body, anything she could get her hands on. She was losing oxygen fast and her strength was failing her. She punched anything she could manage to hit. But Urgantava held her strong and laughed. Soon her punches became weak and her body started to hang. She got very dizzy and she felt her eyes start to droop. The last thing she saw before she lost consciousness was Geintz walking over on top of the pile of debris, dragging Paula by her arm right behind him. * * * * * * * * * * * * Tony and Haley walked slowly, Tony leading ahead of her. They held hands tightly while also holding their bos. They had made it to a small area with no destruction and were now looking around. “Do you think everyone’s alright, Tony?” Haley asked him, looking around slowly. “Probably about as alright as anyone can be right now.” He answered. He led her over to a car that was missing all its doors. “Here, sit down here for a second.” He said. “Where are you going?” She asked him, scared that he was going to leave her. “Nowhere, sweet heart. I’m going to climb up on top of this car and see what I can see.” He said. He squeezed her hand reassuringly. “Don’t you worry, I’d never leave you.” She nodded and pulled his face in, kissing him quickly. He jumped up on top of the car she was sitting in and walked up the windshield and onto the roof. He stared out into the rest of the parking lot and beyond, into the dark night. “What do you see?’ She asked him, watching everywhere else. “Not much-“ He started. Suddenly, right in front of Haley, the youngest of the Pretori, Beniyta, landed. He must have jump from a fair distance from none of them to notice him. He stood staring at Haley, as she struggled to find the words to say something. He took a step towards her. But Tony had noticed him and was already in action. He quickly brought his bo up and he leapt from the top of the car towards the young Beniyta. He looked up in time to see the larger man flying through the air towards him and just as Tony brought his bo down to clock Beniyta on the head, he raised his gauntlet and blocked the wooden stick from hitting him. Tony landed, the stick held hard by the Pretori, but he didn’t wait for the alien to retaliate. Tony quickly pulled the bo from the gauntlet and swung it again, this time aiming for the boy’s left side. Once again, Beniyta blocked but this time grasped the bo and yanked, pulling Tony closer to him. They were face to face. “You’ve got some skill, human.” Beniyta said, a pompous smirk painted across his face. “Who are you judge my skill?” Tony said and quickly reared his head back and slammed it forward, head-butting the boy. Beniyta was taken aback by this and stumbled backward. Tony quickly continued, stabbed the stick underneath the boy and pulled up quickly, into Beniyta’s crotch. The boy’s eyes bugged out and he gasped, grasping his groin. He stumbled back more and fell to his knees. Tony couldn’t help but smirk. Most skilled warriors, my ass. He thought. He stepped forward and swung the bo in an arc, aiming for the boy’s neck. Panitil’s fist met Tony’s face first, smashing into the left side of the attacking Tony. His bo dropped harmlessly next to Beniyta as Tony flew ten feet then hit the ground, unmoving. Panitil pulled his right hand back and looked towards Beniyta. He snuffed angrily. “You ignorant fool. Don’t be brash unless you have the brass to follow through.” Beniyta could only stare at Panitil. He turned his attention to Haley, just in time, to bring his right hand up again and catch her Bo as it swung at his head. She gasped; surprised he had reacted so quickly. He sneered at her. She glared back, pulled the bo from his grasp and attempted to stab at his stomach. Panitil took a step to his left, causing the bo to stab right in front of him. Quickly he grasped the bo and, with great ease, swung it up and back towards Haley. The hard wood hit her square in the middle of the forehead. Her eyes rolled up into her head quickly and she fell to the ground, unconscious. Panitil pulled the bo back and then, once again with great ease, snapped the bo over his knee. He threw the pieces at Beniyta, who was now getting to his feet. “Be more aware of your surroundings next time, boy. Or else you-“ Panitil never managed to finish as he let a yell of pain. He fell onto his stomach as Jeff landed on his back, a knife dug deep into his upper shoulder. Jeff had followed Haley and Tony in the shadows to surprise anyone in case they were attacked. Unfortunately, he had seen that he didn’t stand a chance of popping out and saving Tony or Haley before or else he would have been compromised too. But he’d seen his chance here. “Take your own advice.” Jeff said as he took out another knife and prepared to stab Panitil in the back of the neck. Suddenly, a bolt of electricity hit Jeff. His body shook violently, sending the knife in his hand flying. He fell, limp, to the ground. He had been knocked unconscious as well. Panitil got up and roared, pulling the knife out of his back. He looked to Beniyta, whose Thyren machine was whirring down after he had shocked Jeff. Panitil didn’t say anything but very softly nodded his head. Beniyta returned the favor. “Take them” * * * * * * * * * * * * Garret, Liza and Sam heard the attacks. They had made it to an overturned bus when they heard it. And when they had turned to run back and help, they found they had been surrounded. Inativa, Plavin and Sturdia stood in a triangle around them. The two boys facing the two boys, the girl facing the girl. They were trapped. “What do we do now?” Liza asked, staring down Inativa. “I guess we have no choice. We have to defend ourselves.” Garret said, holding his hands up in a defensive way. Sam took off the butterfly swords from his hips and brought them up. Liza took out her knife. A chuckle ran through the three Pretori. “You think you stand a chance?” Inativa asked. “You don’t.” Plavin answered. “You’re overwhelmed.” Sturdia said. “You all are.” Inativa started again. “Your friends are being picked off as we speak.” Plavin said. “And now.” Sturdia started as they all raised their sharpened gauntlets. “You’re next.” Inativa was the first to attack, rushing forward and taking a swipe at Liza’s arm. Liza managed to move out of the way quickly and then took a swipe at Inativa. Inativa pulled her head back, the knife sliding forward in front of her face but not touching. Then she kicked Liza. Liza stumbled backwards but put herself back in defense as Inativa continued her assault. Plavin rushed forward, stabbing towards Garret’s chest. Garret expertly blocked it away and threw a punch into Plavin’s arm. Plavin grunted in pain but immediately swung his gauntlet around, swiping at Garret’s face. Garret bent backwards, dodging the swipe, and back flipped, kicking his opponent in the face as he did so. Plavin stumbled and grabbed his face. Garret landed and stood right back up, his hands still up. Plavin growled and attacked again. Sturdia leapt forward, bringing his gauntlet down to swipe in a downward motion. Sam put both the butterfly swords up and blocked the gauntlet. Sturdia landed and immediately thrust his left hand forward, choking Sam. Sam was taken aback. He was choking but if he moved his butterfly swords, the right hand with the gauntlet would come down on him. He quickly used all his strength to push Sturdia’s right hand up and away from attacking him. They he smashed the butt of each butterfly sword into the temples of Sturdia. Immediately, the Pretori stopped choking him, stumbling in pain. Sam brought his right leg up and kicked him away. Then he went on the offensive. Liza continued to battle Inativa. Liza kept moving back and avoiding the sharp points of the gauntlet whilst taking swipes at Inativa. As of right now, they were at a stalemate. Suddenly Inativa took a swipe and Liza moved out of the way. But Inativa followed up, grabbing Liza’s hair painfully. Then she took another swipe and slashed Liza across the stomach. Three thin lines were cut into her shirt and three gashes could be seen starting to bleed. Liza yelled in pain. But quickly reached out and grabbed Inativa by the back of the head. She pulled the alien’s head down while at the same time, she raised her knee. She smashed her knee cap right into the temple of the Inativa. She yelled in pain. Liza took this chance to slash Inativa across the stomach as well. The black leathery cloak sliced evenly and a slash appeared on the light blue belly of Inativa. Purple blood could be seen pooling. Inativa growled angrily. She punched Liza in the side of the face with her left hand. Then she stumbled back and touched her stomach, clenching her teeth in pain. Liza fell to her knees, struggling to regain her composure. Inativa’s Thyren machine whirred to life and as Liza started to stand up and regain her clear vision, electricity shot out of the palm of Inativa’s gauntlet and struck the ground around her in a box shape. Liza looked down at it, confused. What the hell? She thought. But before she could think anything else, the felt the ground start to fall out from under her. She looked up. It fell quicker than she expected but she just managed to leap forward off the falling piece of cement and grab onto the edge. But as she did, she felt her hands slipping. The ground was wet and slippery from the constant snow fall. She had to think of something. It might be easier to hold on if I wasn’t holding the knife too. She thought. That was it She quickly turned the knife around and stuck it, as hard as she could in her position, into the ground. She felt it stick and hold her weight. But when she started to try and pull herself up by it, it started to give away. She looked up and around. This had been her answer to saving her life. But not for long. Garret had watched Liza fall out from under her feet. He also had seen her grab the edge. Now his full concentration was stopping this guy and getting to her. “Liza! Hang on!” He yelled. He turned just in time to see Plavin taking another swing at him. He quickly blocked it and punched Plavin in the face. Then he quickly turned and took off towards his friend. He undid his katana from his waist and proceeded to run faster, holding out in front of him, just in case. He was about ten feet away when he felt it. Two hands pulling his feet out from under him. He slipped out and landed on his face, the katana sliding right in front of him. He groaned; the impact painful. But he struggled to get up. Then a bolt of electricity hit him, straight in the middle of the back. He yelled in pain and collapsed, his body limp. All he could was lie there and stare at his friend hanging on for dear life. Sam was having a tough time fighting off Sturdia now that he had made him angry. He continued to throw swings with his sharpened gauntlet and all Sam could do was block. He rarely had enough time to attack. This guy sure is a pro. Sam thought. He had glanced and seen Liza fallen and he saw that Garret was heading to her. He’ll get to her. I just need to hold this guy off. “Guys! I’m slipping.” Liza yelled out. Oh shit. Sam glanced over to see Liza, still hanging out for dear life. And he also saw Garret, lying on the ground with the Pretori called Plavin standing over him. I guess it’s up to me. Sturdia swung again, aiming at Sam’s face. Sam grabbed Sturdia’s wrist of the attacking hand. He wrenched that arm out quickly and hard, causing a yelp to emerge from Sturdia. Sam brought his right leg up and kicked Sturdia in the stomach as hard as he could. Another yelp from Sturdia, who bent over in pain. Then, to finish it off, Sam pulled as hard as he could on Sturdia’s arm and threw him towards Plavin. Sturdia didn’t fly nearly as far as Sam wanted but he slid quickly on the ground when he hit. Plavin didn’t even notice as Sturdia slid towards him. He was reaching down towards Garret, a wicked smile on his face. Suddenly, Sturdia slid into his legs, knocking him out from under him. They both fell to the ground. “Guys!” This was Sam’s only chance. He ran. He ran hard towards the hole. He ran hard towards his friend struggling to keep her knife dug into the ground. He ran harder than he ever thought he could. As he drew closer to the hole, he saw the knife start to give away. Sam went into a slide; his pants slipping easily on the slick, icy ground. He threw one of the butterfly swords away but held onto his right one. He hit the edge of the hole just as Liza’s knife gave away. Sam slammed his butterfly sword into the ground, just barely catching a hole in the ground. He outstretched his left arm for Liza’s, who was holding up both her hands in desperation. Sam blinked. They both fell. Sam’s knife held tightly, stopping him. He hung there, almost limply. His right arm killed him; this was an awkward angle for him, pulling on his forearm muscles. He opened his eyes to see Liza, hanging on to his hand. He couldn’t help but smile at her. And she smiled back, thankful. He pulled her up and she grabbed onto the sword as well. She looked at him. “Going somewhere?” He asked her. She laughed weakly. “No, thanks to you.” “Well, this is sweet.” Both Liza and Sam looked up to see Inativa, Plavin and Sturdia standing over the hole, looking at them. “You saved her life. How heroic.” Plavin said. “Too bad it was only for now.” Sturdia said, chuckling. “Get them out of there and grab this one. Geintz calls.” Liza and Sam looked at each other. They both did their best to hide their fear. * * * * * * * * * * * * The Eleven planned the battle the whole way. All of the attacks were to come at the same time. Except for the attack on Sam, Garret and Liza. That was to lower the morale of those particular three. Why? Because they were fighting the siblings. The sibling’s mission, always, is to bring down morale The mission originally was stated to only kill a few of them and torture the rest to death. How lucky were they to get all of the friends alive.

Yes, that ad just came on. I hate that ad. Probably because I don't have e.d Haha people with e.d. Anyways, story update! Chapter Thirteen: Epic Confrontation -=Day 3=- 5:40 PM Two days ago, Eleven cloaked figures made their evil presence known by attacking the city of Revere. They tore through and destroyed almost all of the standing buildings, killing hundreds, even thousands. The next night, they attacked two police officers. The very next day, they attacked three more civilians. They have caused terror all over the state of Massachusetts and even the nation of the United States. Now, at quarter to six at night on the third day, twelve friends stood on the main street of what was left of Revere. The destruction had been cleared a little bit but still the smell of burned metal and plastic hung heavily in the air. The street itself was jagged and ripped out of the ground, making traversing it tough. But they all continued on, heading deeper and deeper into the wrecked city. According to the police reports, the most destruction came nearest to the movie theatres. And that was where they made their way to. “This is terrible. Who could do this without an army?” Garrett asked, looking around as he spoke. “Apparently these Eleven can.” Natalie said. “And that does not make me excited to meet these guys. They had all met at Liza and Jeff’s house to discuss what they were going to do about these attacks. The mutual agreement was that they weren’t going to sit around and wait to be attacked. So they made a quick stop at Garrett’s karate school and armed themselves with some of his weapons. And then they drove themselves to the border of Malden and Revere, parked their cars and started walking. And here they were now, walking into probably the most dangerous territory they could be right now; ground zero. The night was cold and frigid; dark clouds hung in the sky as if predicting some sort of darkness. The wind blew softly but it quite obviously was going to get stronger as more dark clouds rolled in. Although they had rarely spoken anything to one another since the meeting, they were all thinking the same thing. It was an odd feeling; walking into what could very possibly be a trap. Or even worse: death. None of them had put it so bluntly as that. But it was obviously a shared feeling of distraught and fear. “It’s starting to get dark.” Liza said softly, looking at the sky. “I guess all we can hope for is that either the moon breaks through these clouds or that some street lights are still working up ahead.” Cameron said. He held a single katana straight out in front of him. CJ and Jen had opted to bring their guns with them anyways but carried knives with them as well. Natalie had two sai, held close to her body. Sam had two butterfly swords attached to his hips. Haley, Tony and Samfa had opted to take bos. Jeff, Liza and Paula had all taken knives and Garrett had taken a katana, tied it to his waist and now wore brass knuckles on both his hands. Around them he tied bandage wrap to protect his knuckles from damage and the cold. “We’re here.” Jeff said. They all looked up and straight ahead. There was the giant area where the movie theatre used to be. The building itself wasn’t completely destroyed. There was still a giant chunk of it left. But for the most part, it was unsalvageable. The parking lot was littered with pieces of the old building, fences and cars. But there was one giant area that seemed untouched. With two street lights that were working. “I guess that’s where we’re headed then, huh?” Jeff continued, turning to the group. They all nodded in agreement. The trip across the remainder of the streets was not easy. Large chunks of ground had been torn up and left. There weren’t many bodies left but occasionally a hand or body part could be seen trapped under objects. It was sickening to see and many of the friends had to turn away and catch their breath and most likely their dinner. But finally they made it to the parking lot. By now, the light had faded so much that they could barely see in front of them. They helped each other climb over obstacles and avoid ditches. Their goal was the street lights, the only place they’d be able to see. And that was so important because if they couldn’t see, they wouldn’t be able to engage in a fair battle with the Eleven. That’s…if they even came. Sam and Garrett were the first to reach the comforting circle of light and it felt like a ray of hope for them, taking a deep breath in. “That was a lot harder of a journey than I thought it would be.” Cameron said, panting. They all gathered into the circle of light and looked around, now on the defensive. “What’s the time, Jen?” CJ asked, his gun pointed into the darkness. She looked down at her watch on her wrist. “6:11” She said quickly. “And it’s also 27 degrees.” “Well, that’s why I brought this.” Tony said. He was referring to the giant blue bag he had lugged along with him the entire way. He put down his bo and placed the bag on the ground. He unzipped it and pulled out firewood and gasoline. Cameron bent down and helped him, pulling out the rest of the firewood. Together they made a decently sized fire pit. Tony quickly spread the gasoline over the wood before taking out matches. A quick snap of his wrist and he had lit one. He tossed it into the center of the pile of wood and it immediately caught flame. It burned brightly and intensely. They all breathed deeply in the quickly expulsion of heat that hit them. It was revitalizing to them all and warmed their chilled bodies. “And now we wait.” Samfa said softly. “How do we even know that they will come?” Natalie asked, her eyes watching the horizon. “They’ll come.” Liza said quickly and coldly. Sam turned his head to look at her. She looked quickly at him and then back out into the darkness. “They’ll come looking for us because we’re all together. They can’t pass that up.” “Too bad for them we’re prepared for them.” Jeff said, matter-of-factly. “Are we though? All we know is that they have the ability to use electricity. And that they can block bullets and move really fast. But what if that is just toying with us? What if they’re a hell of lot stronger than that? What if they haven’t even really tried to hurt us yet?” Garret asked, slowly and softly. “Then I guess all we can do is pray we give them hell.” Haley said. They all fell silent then and listened to the cold night. The wind had picked up and nipped at each of them evenly. They stood in a circle around the fire, watching every angle. Time passed. The clouds grew darker, more menacing and more in number. The night bore on and the cold beat on them harder. Soon it felt like half a night had passed. But that all was contributed by a few different factors; their ever-growing fear and paranoia, the freezing cold wind blowing across their bodies and the urgency to just get it over with. “Jen, what time is it now?” Samfa finally spoke up, after everyone had moved closer to the fire to keep themselves awake and warm. Jen yawned and looked down at her watch. “11:47” She said softly. “24 degrees.” “I say we give it another half an hour before we head back. Or else we’ll freeze to death out here.” CJ said. “I agree.” Garrett said, looking to Sam for agreement. “Alright, 30 more minutes then we get out of here.” He agreed, looking out. Suddenly, eleven bolts of lightning struck about 50 yards away from Sam, simultaneously and evenly spread. His eyes spread wide as everyone around the fire jumped up and turned towards the origin of the sound. They could see small circles of fire that were just barely burning. They all fell quiet and listened. The wind had suddenly fallen dead and the only sound was the crackling of the fire. But Sam didn’t stop looking at those circles. He backed up a little and he felt his back hit something hard. He glanced to see CJ behind him. They had all gathered behind him, weapons raised and ready. That’s when they could suddenly hear them. Footsteps. The sound of heavy boots walking on the cement. Heading towards them. All of their bodies tensed. That’s when they could suddenly see them. The light from the fire illuminated farther than the street lights and they could see the Eleven walking towards them, the light reflecting off their cloaks. As they got closer and closer, they saw more and more of the enemy that was marching towards them. The friends all had backed close to the fire, huddled together. The Eleven had their hoods off and their faces had come into view. Geintz was leading them. A woman marched to his right and a large looking man marched to his left. Jen and CJ could recognize his height that it was the same on that had attacked them. They were followed by other men and women; six other men and two other women to be exact. All of them had different hair styles; styles that would be hard for humans to create. But all of their hair was a base color of silver. And all of their skin was the same blue as Geintz. All of them made it within view of the light before they all stopped in a straight line. Then Geintz stepped forward. “Good evening. You all look a little lost.” He said, the same wicked smile on his face as before. A chuckle ran through his comrades. “This. This must be all of you. All of our targets. Excuse me if I don’t know your names; I prefer to keep myself disassociated with my prey.” He said. “What the hell are you?” Sam spoke up. “Why then, I thought I had already explained this to your friends. We are the Pretori. We are the Eleven, the most elite of the Pretori and the most skilled warriors in the known universe. But maybe you mean you want a more formal introduction. Well then, I’d be glad to introduce you to us all since this is the last thing you will ever learn. I am Geintz, the leader of the Eleven.” He moved his right hand up, it sliding out from under his cloak. All of the friends gasped as they saw that a malevolently looking gauntlet was attached to his hand. He ignored their gaping faces and motioned to his peers. “This woman here is Levita, my second in command. A beautiful Pretori with the finest skill in hand to hand combat.” He was referring to the woman who had long silver hair that ran down her back. She was shorter than Geintz and much skinnier but she wasn’t nearly as short as the other girl. “The one next to her is Urgantava. He is the strongest Pretori here and uses his fists to demolish his enemies.” Urgantava had a huge face with a silver Mohawk that ran from his forehead all the way down to his neck. His neck was bulging, hinting to the rest of the friends that under that cloak, he was very muscular and strong. He towered over them, nearly seven feet tall if not more. “Next to him are the two twins, Yigi and Turjon. They use their twin telepathy to formulate battle patterns for themselves along with using their swords to cut their enemies to pieces.” The twins looked exactly the same, their faces grim and their hair pulled back into ponytails that seemed to not be held by anything. They were about as tall as Geintz but they seemed to have less to their bodies; meaning that they seemed to be extremely skinnier, judging by the slenderness of their faces and necks. “And at the end of that line is Hragen. He is the elderly one of the group but he brings senior battle knowledge along with a vast control over his Gaelias.” The elderly man had a silver goatee and was bald other than the hair on the back of his neck. He was as short as Levita and hunched his back but his silver eyes seemed colder than any of the others. Geintz raised his left hand next, motioning to the other five. “This one, two of you should recognize. Panitil; he prides himself on the expert use of his Thyren machine. He also has a little bit of a blood-lust.” Panitil had hair that could only be described as many, mini Mohawks that were silver on the base and black near the tips. He had a constant snarl on his face and a giant scar going down his left eye to his cheek. He was shorter than Urgantava but still must have been taller than six and a half feet. “The next three are Inativa, Plavin and Sturdia. They are two brothers, one sister. All born 5 minutes after each other. Not quite triplets but grew up doing everything together. They love to torture their prey by using their speed and their extra-sharpened Thyren claws.” The girl, Inativa, had short wavy silver hair whilst the boys, Plavin and Sturdia, had short disheveled silver hair. Inativa was the shortest one there; shorter than Sam and Garrett but still taller than Natalie and Haley. The boys were roughly the same height as Sam and Garrett. They all had a wicked grin on their face. “The last is Beniyta. He’s the youngest of the group and lacks the most experience. But let’s just say he holds a grudge well enough to travel here.” The last one looked like a sixteen year old boy, with silver hair that looked somewhat like corn rows. He seemed well built for his age but a little one the short side. He gave all of the friends a death glare. Geintz had both his hands up now, with a more bragging smile on his face. He turned his attention to the group of friends again. “Well then. You know us. I hope that satisfies you enough. But I think we’ve held this off for far too long. You came here for a reason and we came here for a reason. Don’t you think we should get to those reasons?” “What did we ever do to you, Geintz? This is the first time any of us have even heard of you.” Sam said, bravely holding his ground. “Well, my dear boy, you’ve all done a lot more than you could ever possibly imagine. You stole something of ours that was very important to our race and we want it back. And the only way to get it back, it seems, is to go through you.” Levita said, stepping up beside Geintz. “And what would that be?” Liza said, also stepping up. “You all contributed to the theft of the third Gaelias.” Geintz said coldly. The friends looked at each other, bewildered. “What the hell is the third Gaelias?” Garrett asked. “It’s our most prized possession and it’s because of you all that it was stolen. You contributed to the killing of its true owner. And that’s why we have gone through so many warp-holes and portals to find you. So we could, personally, repay the favor. You and your Liberator.” Levita said angrily. “What is that, our Liberator?” Jen spoke up. Levita started to answer but Geintz waved at her, telling her to stop. She bowed her head and took a step back. “It doesn’t matter. What matters is that we have our revenge. And we will. One way or another.” Geintz raised his right hand up and his gauntlet started to make a whirring sound. Electricity sparked up and through the device and made its way to the palm of his hand. It started to gather up into a ball formation. Suddenly lightning shot out and struck the street lights around them that weren’t lit. The light bulbs got hit by this and they immediately sprang to life, shedding the light down onto the remainder of the parking lot. A second later, as Geintz lowered his hand, the street lights that were not destroyed were now lit up and shining brighter than ever, giving light to a now enhanced battlefield. “Well then.” Geintz said as he held out his right hand towards the group, the palm up to the sky. “Shall we begin?” “Why the hell not.” CJ yelled as Jen and he quickly pulled out their guns, aimed and began firing.

Cape Cod changes you. You may not think it will when you head down there. You may think "Hey, just going down the Cape. No big deal." But the truth is, you're getting away from your hometown where you've been miserable for almost a month. Where you've barely been out of the house. Not because you didn't want to leave but because you didn't have anywhere to go. And the only thing keeping you sane is your girlfriend and the few friends that still care to come see you. While at the same time, questioning your future and your place in the world because of all this. As you can see, it's a been a rough end to this summer. It started out great but it just got rough. I know when it started but I'd rather not state when it did. Plus the people involved should know anyways. I never said this to anyone minus Rachel because I was afraid saying it would drive me farther away from the people I care most for. My friends from home. But now that I'm away from Melrose, away from my room where I spent days in, I've realized something. If you drive me away because I tell the truth, then the problem isn't with me, is it? I have problems with some of you. Some of you have driven me so far towards hatred it's ridiculous. Whiles others just seem to ignore me. Well, here's what I say to you all. I don't hate you for it. I still love you the same way I did last summer. So much that I worked hard, day and night, to try and recover SLURVE. So much that when I got down here, I realized something fairly quickly. This story, although not everyone in our group likes it or reads it, is my gift to you. I started writing the first one because I wondered what it'd be like if we had never met each other. If a few of us knew one another but others didn't. And what it would be like to meet for the first time. Now that it's a year later, and I feel like I don't know some of you anymore, I realize how important this story is to finish. Maybe not just for you guys but for me too. And I apologize to everyone, especially Natalie, Liza, Paula and Sam. The ones who kept asking me when I was going to post a new chapter. The ones who kept on me. And I let their requests fall on deaf ears. I'm sorry for waiting so long to start writing again. But being down here, has reawoken me. My writer's block is gone. My faith in myself and my friends is back. Oh and I guess the biggest news....I'm not leaving on Friday. I want one last weekend with you all. Please give me that opportunity. So...without further ado; Chapter Twelve of Anti-Reality 2. Chapter Twelve: Epiphany Part One -=Day Three=- 11:36 AM Sam had run hard before. He remembered clearly running for his life, running in for an attack, running away from danger. But at this moment in time, he never thought he’d run faster as he sprinted outside. He stopped outside the entrance of the hospital. An explosion had rocked the entire hospital and he could already hear the police sirens getting closer. The rain was pouring now and his clothes were already sticking to his body. He looked around, trying to locate where the explosion had come from. Some disgusting, stomach turning feeling had caused him to leave Paula, Jen and CJ in the hospital room. He looked towards the large parking lot next to the hospital. Smoke was rising from the very back of it. It took Sam no time to react; he set off at high speed towards the smoke. He weaved in and out of parked cars as he got closer to his target. His entire body was drenched; his hair stuck onto his face. But he was determined and nothing was going to stop him. His heavy steps echoed on the hard, cold and wet pavement. The smoke was only two aisles down. He could feel the heat from the fire and smell the burning metal. He turned quickly around a set of cars and turned left. And right there before his eyes was the accident. Two cars had exploded and were still blazing even with the pouring rain. Debris and fiery pieces of the cars were scattered all over the ground. He stared at the destruction in awe, his fear rising with it. Then he looked in a tiny circle that wasn’t covered by any debris or fire. His eyes grew larger. Haley, Samantha and Tony were all lying in the circle, seemingly unconscious. He ran to them quickly, dropping down to his knees next to them. He raised Tony’s head slowly and put his hand down next to his neck, checking his pulse. “He’s alive” Sam said aloud, more to himself than any of them. He looked down and saw a burn mark on the front of Tony’s shirt. It looked like he had been… “Hit by lightning” Sam said, horror filling his voice. He quickly ran over to Samantha and Haley. They hadn’t been hit by lightning but they were surely unconscious. He heard the sirens making their way over to him. He immediately stepped over his injured friends and waited for them. I don’t know what is going on. But I’m afraid. I am very afraid. Afraid of death * * * * * * * * * * * * “Doctor, will you just tell me if they’re going to be alright!” Sam was yelling over all the commotion going on in the hall way. He was running next to the stretcher that was quickly being rolled down the emergency room. He was trying to keep Doctor Ryder’s attention on him but was failing as attendants surrounded the stretcher that was carrying Tony. The doctor just quickly glanced at Sam before looking back to Tony. But Sam did not lose speed; he kept up with them. I am not leaving Tony’s side until I know if he’ll be alright or not. “Sam!” He stopped quickly and turned around to face Paula who was running to catch up with him. She stopped in front of him, panting and out of breath “What happened?” She asked, in between taking breaths. “Samfa, Tony and Haley were attacked. I’m guessing by the same people. They destroyed their car and looks like took them on hand to hand. And they beat Tony and them down.” He explained, looking towards the now distant Tony. “Oh my god, are they going to be okay?” She asked “I checked them when I got there. They were all breathing fine. But Tony had burn marks on his shirt. Burn marks, Paula. Like he had been hit by lightning.” “Lightning? Just Tony? There’s no way that Haley and Samantha would have escaped any damage if Tony got hit by lightning. They all would have been burned.” She said, completely confused and bewildered. “Yeah, that’s the part that scares me. Neither Haley nor Samfa had burn marks. It was just Tony.” He looked down at her, finally pulling his gaze away from the corridor in which Tony had been rolled down, and met Paula’s gaze. He could see fear and confusion bluntly written in her eyes and across her face. “What do you think happened?” Paula asked; her voice now lowered and more secretive. “If you ask me, who ever these people are, they did this. They attacked Jen and CJ. They must have attacked these guys as well. There is now way that this was a random attack, especially involving electricity. That’s what they used on Jen and CJ. They’re targeting us, Paula. For some reason, they’re targeting our group of friends.” “But why? What did we do?” She asked. “I don’t know. But somehow I think it involves either the Empire or Ian. Although I don’t remember there ever being mentioned men wearing dark cloaks. We’ll have to ask Jen.” Paula nodded and they quickly turned and started walking towards Jen’s room. * * * * * * * * * * * * “I’m telling you guys, there was never anyone wearing dark cloaks in our dimension. At least, to my knowledge there wasn’t.” Sam and Paula had made it back to Jen’s room and now sat in front of her and CJ. They had asked her a series of questions and, unfortunately for them, all of the answers came back negatively for them. “We’re not accusing you of anything Jen so you don’t need to be so protective. We’re just confused and scared.” Sam explained. “How do you think I feel, Sam? CJ and I got electrified by these freaks without even knowing what the hell we were going up against. Now they attack Tony, Haley and Samantha. Ian’s knife is right here although he brought it with him into the other dimension. I’m just so confused and over-whelmed right now that I could scream!” Jen yelled, more out of frustration than towards any of them. “And as far as I know, these people could very well be the remainder of the Empire. They could have come back for vengeance. But we don’t know for sure. But we sure as hell need to find out soon before they decide to stop playing with us and just kill us!” When she had finished, she jumped out of bed and began walking towards the two metal lockers in the back of the room. “What are you doing?” CJ asked her. “I’m getting my clothes. We’re both fine so let’s get the hell out of here and find those things and stop them!” She said, opening the locker to find her clothes. CJ nodded, jumped up as well and made his way to the locker. “Guys, you can’t leave. There is no way the doctors will let you.” Paula said. “Screw them. This isn’t part of our job anymore. They made this personal.” CJ said. “You guys can get in serious trouble. You know that, right?” Sam said, half-smiling. He knew saying anything wasn’t going to stop them. And that made him happy; putting their jobs on the line for their friends. “Who cares? We’re trying to catch the criminals. If anything, we should get a promotion after this.” CJ said as Jen and him walked by Paula and Sam, clothes in hand, towards the bathrooms. Paula and Sam looked at each other, shrugged their shoulders and walked out of the room after them. Part Two Geintz stood on the roof of the hospital, over-looking the city of Melrose. The sun shone down on the snow-covered city, not hot enough to melt of the freezing snow but enough to shine off of it brightly. The rain had come and gone quickly and the sun followed. The rain had covered the snow with a thick layer of water and, with the temperature that it was now; it would surely turn to ice soon. He watched as cars and people made their way by in their pitiful lives. But he wasn’t really watching anything. He was listening. He had been listening in on the conversation of the first two humans that he had ordered attacked. He chuckled as he heard them leave. Suddenly, he heard a zap and he turned slowly to see Urgantava stepping out of the scorched circle he had just made. He was much taller than Geintz and extremely well-built. But his mind wasn’t nearly as powerful as any of the other Eleven and he was easily confused unless properly explained in extreme detail. He was more of the brute tank. “Urgantava, our plan is going quite well. Wouldn’t you agree?” Geintz said, walking over to his minion. “Yes Master Geintz. But I don’t understand why we must wait to kill these creatures.” Urgantava said, looking at his hand. He slowly closed it into a fist. “I could easily crush them all in the palm of my hand.” “Indeed you could, friend, but the whole idea to pick away at their morale and force them to want to confront us. And just as well, that objective is completed. Now is our time to wipe these mongrels out, along with the rest of this world.” Urgantava smiled from under his cloak. “How do you know that, Master Geintz?” “Why, I’ve been listening in on their conversations. From up here, all I have to do is concentrate using the power of the Gaelias and I can locate and listen to anything I want to. That’s how powerful I am, Urgantava. I hate to say that…you’re not as powerful as me mentally but my friend, I could never crush any foe with such force like you.” Geintz said; a wicked smile across his face. He had just easily insulted one of his most fierce lackeys yet by throwing in a small compliment, he would get the answer he expected. “Thank you, Master Geintz. You are far too kind.” Like shooting fish in a barrel “Urgantava, go back to the Eleven and tell them to prepare. Our targets are going to meet up soon and then we will strike.” Geintz said, turning away to look out again. “This is it, isn’t it Master Geintz? We’re finally going to get our revenge. No more chasing clues and bread crumbs through portals anymore. We can finally go back to our home.” Urgantava said. Geintz turned around again. His smile had changed; it was less wicked and more comforting and caring. He walked over to Urgantava and clasped his shoulders. He looked up at him. “Yes, Urgantava. It is nearly the end. Soon, soon we can go home.” Urgantava nodded. Geintz let go of his comrade and walked back over to the edge. He heard a zap and knew that Urgantava was gone. The comforting smile was gone. His face was grim, a look of hatred and remorse written on his face. Pure hatred. * * * * * * * * * * * * Sam, Paula, Jen and CJ all made their way down the last hospital corridor, heading towards the entrance. They were all chattering at once, talking about what they were going to do. They went through the doors that brought them to the reception room. Nurses and patients turned to look at them as they walked by but they paid no attention to them. They were just about to head they the entrance suddenly the doors they had just come through burst open again, a lot more fiercely this time, followed a shout of “Wait up!” All four of the friends turned to see who was yelling after them, only to find Tony, Haley and Samfa making their way after them. “Whoa wait, you guys need to get back to your rooms. You just got attacked.” Sam said, holding his hands up in a motion telling them to go back. “Like hell we are, we’re all fine.” Samfa said. “Besides, we know you four are going after Geintz and his pals too so we’re coming along.” Tony said, putting his left arm through his jacket. He was wearing the burned t-shirt still. “Geintz? They have names?” Jen asked, confused. “Oh they have names alright. They call themselves the Eleven. They are some race called the Pretori or something like that. They said they’re here to punish us for heresy.” Haley said. “Heresy? What the hell did we do to them?” CJ asked, not really expecting an answer “Nothing. We didn’t do anything as far as we’re concerned!” Paula blurted out, angrily. “Alright listen!” Sam said. “Let’s move this conversation outside.” He nodded towards all the people starting to take notice of the conversation. They all quickly walked out the front entrance to the parking lot. They walked a little ways in and then stopped in one of the rows of cars. They could still hear fire engines and police cars down a ways by what was left of Haley’s car. Sam turned to them all and took a deep breath. “Okay, obviously we are up against something big. These guys are more powerful and have better technology than any of the other Empire troops we ever faced.” “Are we saying that these guys are some elite group from the Empire? If they’re some different race from human beings, than the Empire sure wasn’t destroyed when Ian went through. And they’re been making new waves in communication. Or they could be some of the Empire’s test subjects and they just call themselves the Pretori because they view themselves as more elite than human beings.” Jen said. “They said they were an ancient race from a world called Praen. They can’t be test subjects. Obviously the Empire had expanded its communications through space and had discovered this race and made good with them. They seem to have a lot of things in common, namely destruction and blood shed.” Samfa explained. “What ever the difference, we defeated the Empire here. We fought off their best troops. We need to get everyone together and explain this entire thing. Then we need to come up with a plan. Something that obviously doesn’t include guns.” Tony said. “Alright, then we’re agreed. We need to do something about this before any more of us get attacked or worse. Get everyone together. We’ll all meet at Liza and Jeff’s and figure something out from there. Everyone get out your cell phones and start calling. Let’s go! They all nodded. Jen, CJ and Samfa went with Paula while Haley and Tony went with Sam. Sam looked up at the afternoon sky. It was sunny right now but it looked like there were clouds on the horizon, ready to come block the light away. What a simile.

I've decided to stop writing the story for right now. I don't take the time to post what I've written. Plus I barely take time to write. I've lost motivation to write it. Don't complain, don't bitch at me. Just accept it. So now people can stop asking about it.

In every right, I should be getting presents since it is my opening night. But instead, I give you guys a new chapter. Be grateful! *people aren't grateful* BE GRATEFUL DAMN IT! *still not* Just read. Chapter Eleven: Flash Bang Boom -=Day Three=- 8:39 AM Haley, Tony and Samantha walked out of the front doors of the hospital, all three chattering. As the electric sliding doors closed behind them, a bright flash lit up the sky above them, followed by a roll of thunder. All three of them stopped to look up as the sunlight started to fade away behind the black clouds. “That storm is rolling in fast. I don’t even remember hearing about there being rain today.” Tony said, squinting up. “Me neither. That’s really odd, isn’t it?” Samfa said. “Let’s get to the car quickly before it starts to get really bad.” Haley said. She reached inside her pants pocket and pulled out her keys. She turned to them, smiled and then started running through the parking lot, looking for her car. Tony and Samfa exchanged quick glances before turning quickly and running after her, all of them in full sprint. It was then that the rain started falling, hard and fast. They ran, passing car after car, trying to get to their own car as fast as they could. Another flash and roll of thunder, a lot closer, caused them to run faster. It was then that Haley turned around a corner of cars and pointed. “There it is! In the last row!” She yelled and they took off again, running for it. The rain was falling heavy now, the sound of it crashing down onto the ground and the objects around them the only sound. At least, until there was a bright flash of light and then the sound of thunder following right after it. The three friends ran through the almost endless numbers of cars, their target seeming to get closer to them at an extremely slow rate. “I don’t remember you parking this far back.” Tony said as they got closer. The car was maybe 50 yards away and they all were slowing down as they realized they were close enough to relax. Haley’s face was filled with confusion when Tony glanced over to her. “That’s funny.” She said. She looked over at him. “Neither do-…” She started to finish. It was then that a bolt of lightning shot down from the sky and struck their car. It ignited immediately, a fiery explosion rocketing outward from car. The shockwave shot out as the gas tank ignited and Tony, Haley and Samantha were all blown off their feet and blown backwards. Samfa rolled over her back and landed on her stomach. She quickly flung her arms above her head as debris shot all over her. Haley rolled on her side and finally stopped on her back. She was panting but when she saw the debris come falling down towards her, she rolled onto her side and covered herself up as she felt debris landing on top of herself as well. Tony took the hardest hit; he rolled over his back three times before hitting the side of a parked Jeep hard. He groaned loudly and touched the back of his head to check for blood. Luckily there was none. And the other cars protected him from debris. Another explosion went off as the car next to Haley’s went off, triggered by the original explosion. Samfa and Haley quickly dropped themselves to the ground to protect themselves from the shockwave. Then they crawled over to where Tony was to protect themselves from any more debris landing on them. They waited, pinning themselves between the Jeep and the other parked car. Soon, the explosions had died and there was only the sound of the crackling of the fire. All three of them got up slowly; their clothes and faces covered it dirt, mud and water as the rain continued to pour down on them. Haley’s car and the car next to it were completely destroyed. The charred remains were still ablaze, along with most of the parking lot around. They all moved out from behind the cars and stood, staring, at the wreckage in front of them. “Is everyone okay?” Tony asked, not taking his eyes off the cars. “Yeah, I’m fine.” Samfa said. “I’m fine.” Haley answered. “Baby, it could have been a lot worse. A whole lot worse.” Tony said, putting his hands on her shoulders to comfort her. “I know. But it’s still really scary” Haley said. A roll of thunder clapped over their hands, causing them all to jump a little and look up. Suddenly, there were quick, loud and sharp sounds that rang out. It sounded exactly like lightning but it sounded quickly and multiple times. They looked around the sky, looking for lightning. But they saw none. “Oh, it is scary. And trust me; it just got a whole lot worse.” A deep voice said. They all snapped their heads down again; looking at the car, where the voice had came from. Standing in front of the flames was a figure, covered in a black cloak. Everything was covered in black. A hood hung over its face, masking it. Samfa turned her head and let out a small scream, grabbing Haley and Tony’s attention. More of them were standing between the cars, facing them. All three of the friends spun around, finding more of the figures standing in a circle. A circle around them. They were surrounded by eleven cloaked figures. Trapped Tony turned back to the figure that had spoken. He had a grim, but angry look on his face. He wanted answers. “Who the hell are you?” Tony yelled at him, stepping in front of the girls. The figure that spoke laughed. It was a maniacal, deep laugh. It sent chills down Tony, Samfa and Haley’s spine. It was the most evil laugh any of them had ever heard. “If it only were that easy to explain. But I suppose I should at least try my best. We…are the Pretori. We are an ancient race from the planet that we call Praen. I myself…well-…” He stopped there. Then he reached up with both his hands and pulled his cloak off in one swift movement. He unveiled a completely bald face. But that wasn’t even close to his striking features. His skin was a pale blue, like it had been frozen for years. His eyes were bright and piercing silver. And, what seemed to be imprinted on them, two red and black triangle-like shapes that pointed straight towards the pupil. His wicked smile showed bright white teeth. Other than that, he looked almost like a human. The alien man turned his head to the left, cracking his neck. Then his eyes transfixed on Tony. “I am Geintz. And we are the Eleven; the most elite of our race.” The moment stood in silence as Tony, Haley and Samfa stood there, the fear and shock covering them. Tony did his best to suck up any and all fear. “What are you doing here?” Geintz chuckled softly then looked towards his fellow Pretori. “He wants to know why we’re here.” Everyone in the encirclement chuckled with Geintz. Females and male laughs surrounded the three friends. It drove Tony crazy with rage. “What’s so funny about that?!” Tony yelled out over the laughter. The humor died down and everyone fell silent, except for Geintz who kept chuckling. “I would expect you all to know why.” Geintz’ face changed though from wicked to almost understanding. He snapped his fingers. “That’s right, you wouldn’t know why. That’s because you don’t know.” “We don’t know what?” Haley spoke up from behind Tony. “Oh far be it for me to ruin such news as this. No, I’ll let you find out yourselves.” Geintz said, his wicked smile coming back. “Why are you doing this? Why are you attacking us and killing so many people?” Samfa said, anger over-taking her. Geintz smile disappeared and formed into a sneer. “Don’t you worry girl, it is all well deserved. And this is only the beginning. We haven’t even begun to punish you all for heresy.” “Heresy?! We didn’t even know you existed. How could we have done anything to you?” Tony barked back. “You’ve done more than you could ever know just by being alive!” Geintz barked back. The two triangles in his eyes seemed to turn even brighter red. “You’re all disgusting. Human beings. I’m glad we learned how to get here, to find you all. Now we can wipe out your disgusting and despicable species out!” Tony had heard enough. Added with the fear of possible death and the anger of Geintz’ words, Tony finally was done listening. He quickly reached into his black leather jacket, looking for something. Then he pulled it out. A magnum revolver. He had bought it years ago because he knew he couldn’t be too careful anymore. He always had it with him when he went out, always loaded, and up to this point he hadn’t had to use it. But that seemed like it was going to change now. He brought it up, cocked it and took careful aim as quick as he could. “Shut up!” Tony yelled and he pulled the trigger. The gunshot rang out, followed by more gunshots. Tony kept firing, five more times. Geintz seemed to just stand there and take it, even though his body shifted very little with every shot. Finally, Tony fired his last shot and he pulled the magnum back, the barrel smoking. Geintz still stood there, his face grim and angry. The sound of the gunshots finally diminished and the only sound was the heavy rain still falling. Suddenly, Geintz started laughing. He laughed and laughed and soon the rest of the Eleven were laughing. “What the hell?” Tony said in fear. The magnum dropped from his hand and clattered on the pavement. Haley and Samfa stayed behind him. Suddenly, Geintz raised his right hand and a bolt of electricity shot out from under the cloak. It hit Tony right in the chest, electrifying him. His body shook violently before he fell to his knees and then onto his chest. He didn’t move. Haley and Samfa screamed as Geintz laughed even louder. Samfa turned to look at him. He was gone Suddenly, she felt a fist hit her stomach hard, knocking the wind out of her. Her eyes shot open in pain as Geintz’ left hand pushed harder into her gut. Then he spun and smashed his right elbow into the crook in the back of her neck. She hit the ground hard, knocked unconscious by the blow immediately. Haley, in her own defense, tried to throw a right hook into the back of his head but he was suddenly gone. Then just like that, she fell to the ground unconscious as Geintz’ hand hit her neck hard enough to knock her out as well. All three friends lay on the ground, unmoving and unawake. The ten cloaked figures surrounding them disappeared in a sudden flash of light. Geintz stared at them for a moment of two, an evil little smirk on his face. Then he too disappeared. The three lay there in the down pouring rain. Defeated

Enjoy! I'm going to be putting up a special present for my dedicated readers soon. Part Two The early morning light shone through the hospital window. CJ and Jen were talking to each other quietly. They both looked tired, worried and confused. They seemed worked up about whatever they were talking about. A cloaked figure stood across the street, on top of a house. He was a fair distance across from them that no normal person would be able to see them. But the figure could see them clearly. And he knew them well. For he was the one who put them there. He looked down slowly at his right hand, the hand where his metal gauntlet was attached. And he felt the thrill and excitement of last night. Underneath his cloak, his gauntlet sparked once. A wicked grin spread across his face. Maybe I should finish them off now. Make our mission one step closer to completion. Suddenly, his head jerked back as if he had felt something hit him. A growl emerged from his throat. The last thing he wanted to do was leave. But he had no choice. His gauntlet sparked to life and in a flash, he was gone. Part Three “Thank god you both are alive.” Haley was saying as Sam and Paula walked into the hospital room. As they walked in through the door, they saw Haley, Samfa and Tony. They were all standing around Jen’s bed, facing Jen and CJ. Both of the victims were awake. All of the attention in the room turned towards Sam and Paula as they walked in. “Sam…Paula. You came.” CJ said, smiling. “Of course we came; you think we’d just not come visit?” Paula said matter-of-factly. Jen couldn’t help but try and stifle a giggle. “How are you guys feeling?” Sam asked. “Groggy, but besides that, pretty good.” Jen said, rubbing her temple. “What happened?” Paula asked. CJ and Jen shook their heads almost simultaneously. “Jeez, how many times have we told this story?” CJ asked Jen. “Almost too many.” She said to him. Then she looked towards Sam and Paula. “We were investigating a report of a cloaked figure heading into Melrose High School because we thought maybe it had some connection with Revere. Well, we get there and the guy attacks us, manages to dodge our bullets and zap us with electricity. It knocked us both out and we woke up here.” “Zapped you with electricity?” Paula asked. She had a very confused look on her face as she got closer and sat on Jen’s bed. “How did he do that?” “Good question. We have no idea.” CJ said. “All we saw is it come flying out from under his sleeve. And hit us.” “God, that sounds scary.” Samfa said. “I don’t know how you two deal with things like that. I could never be a cop.” “It isn’t easy.” CJ said, half-chuckling. Everyone around the room responded with smiles and small laughs as well. “We’re just glad you’re okay.” Tony said, smiling. “But I’m sorry to say we have to run. We have an appointment.” “You mind if I hitch a ride?” Samfa asked. “Sure, why not.” Tony said. Then he turned to the two patients lying in the bed. “You two stay out of trouble now, you hear?” “No worries. We’ll see you guys soon.” CJ said. They all exchanged goodbyes before Haley, Tony and Samfa left, leaving Sam and Paula with CJ and Jen. “How’s the hospital treating you guys?” Sam asked, coming over closer to Jen and CJ. Paula was still sitting on the bed. “It’s alright; the doctors and nurses are nice. It’s just rough because we want to be out trying to find that cloaked guy.” Jen said. “How do you know it’s a guy?” Paula asked. “Because he talked to us.” CJ said. “He did?! What did he say?” She responded, getting a little excited. “He said he was a visitor and he came to see what the school was like.” Jen said. “We tried to take him in but he wouldn’t give up. Then we tried to shoot his legs out. He dodged the bullets…no…he reflected the bullets into the wall.” “Reflected?! How the hell was he able to tell where they were going?” Sam said, a chill running down his spine. Jen shook her head before continuing. “I don’t know and I don’t want to know. Then he said something about a liberator. The Liberator, he called it. He said the Liberator was more adequate to fight. Then he zapped us.” “My god, that’s frightening.” Paula said, looking at the ground. CJ suddenly spoke up. He had been staring at the wall, as if playing the event over in his head. He spoke coarsely. “He said something else. Something after you fainted, Jen.” The three others in the room turned their heads and attention to him. Jen’s eyes widened a little bit. “What?” “He said something. He said ‘You two are pathetic. You’re nothing compared to him. You use these firing metal things while he uses this…” Then he dropped some metal thing. I wasn’t able to see it clearly.” The room fell silent for a moment. Everyone stared at each other, in fear and surprise. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door and all four of them jumped. A police officer was standing there with a plastic bag filled with paper towels. “Excuse me detectives. The Lieutenant asked me to come here with the evidence from the high school and give it to you. He said maybe if you two analyze it, it might lead to some results. So here you go.” He walked over and handed the bag to Jen, who took it carefully. Her hands were still shaking from the entrance. The officer looked between the four of them before turning and walking out the door. Jen, CJ, Sam and Paula all looked between each other before turning their attention to the bag. Jen reached down slowly and unzipped the bag. She reached in just as slowly as she had unzipped it and moved her hand around something long and metallic. Her brow ruffled in confusion. To quench her interest, she pulled the metallic object out. Out of the paper towel came a long knife, about eleven inches, shining brightly in the lit room. It looked to be made of titanium. A thin gold lining ran through the back of it. Jen’s muscles tensed. Her eyes widened. She felt her blood freeze. Sam, Paula and CJ just stared at her, confused. She had completely frozen. “Jen, what’s wrong? What is this knife?” Paula asked. Jen’s eyes darted to Paula’s quickly before looking back at the memory filled relic. Her mouth cracked open slowly, her breath practically gone. “Who’s is this?” Sam asked. Jen looked up into his eyes softly. Tears were forming in them. And finally, she spoke. “It’s Ian’s.”

Every day is a-......ah, screw it. Chapter Ten: Victimized Friends Part 1 -=Day 3=- 7:49 AM Bright lights Too bright It’s shining right through my eye lids. Jen groaned loudly as she started to regain consciousness. She struggled to open her eyes but the light was far too bright. She moved her head to the side, so the light was only hitting the right side of her face. She barely managed to open her left eye. Fuzzy Everything was fuzzy She closed her eye again and tried re-opening it. This time, her vision was clearer. She saw white walls, a white ceiling and white tiled floors. So much white. Too much white. Jen thought. She closed her eye again and groaned once more. “I’m guessing that groan means you’re awake then.” She heard a man’s voice say from in front of her. She turned over onto her back and attempted to open her eyes again. A tall figure was standing in front of her. And it was fuzzy as well. “Who are you?” She croaked out. She groaned loudly as pain in her throat shot up. She looked surprised at the sound of her own voice. “I imagine that hurt considering your throat is very dry. And I’m guessing your eyes haven’t adjusted yet. Well, that’s to be expected. Anyways, I’m Doctor Ryder. You’re in Melrose/Wakefield Hospital. You’re friend CJ is in the bed next to you.” Ryder explained. Jen slowly turned her head to look to her other side. A fuzzy figure that must have been CJ was lying in a bed next to her. He wasn’t moving so he must have still been unconscious. As she moved her head around, her vision started to clear. She started to be able to make out objects again. She looked at the figure standing in front of her. Ryder was a tall skinny man. He had a full beard and had piercing green eyes. His hair was cut short and practically perfect. His smile was homely. He took out a light and came around the bed and bent down close to her face. “Open your eyes wide and please keep them open.” He said. He raised the light and aimed it at her left eye. He made a positive sound then looked at the other eye. He made the similar sound. “Well, you’re looking good. How does your chest feel?” He asked. Jen’s eyebrow ruffled, confused. “My chest? What are you talking about?” “You have a first degree burn on your chest. Right under your left breast. Ironically, both CJ and you have the burn in the same place. I can imagine it stung a little.” Suddenly, the memories came flushing back over Jen. The high school, the cloaked figure, the blue light, the lightning; I remember. She thought. She remembered the lightning striking her chest and knocking her out. That must be the burn. She thought. “Yeah, it stung a little.” Jen finally answered Dr. Ryder. He nodded and picked up a clipboard on the table next to her. He proceeded to write. Jen relaxed back onto the overly soft bed and lay there, looking at the ceiling and let herself get lost in her thoughts. He took us both down. He shot us with that weird…lightning thing and took us both down. We fired at him and he…knocked them away. He moved faster than we could even see and hit the bullets into the wall. How is that possible? Is it possible to be that lucky; to time something as delicate as that and knock them away? It can’t be. Something is awry here. And it’s scary shit. A groan from her side caused her to jump and she quickly looked to her side to see CJ moving around on his bed. His eyes shot open and he quickly sat up, alert and ready. “Where am I? Why is everything so blurry? What’s going on?!” CJ yelled, demanding an answer. He tried to get up but Ryder was quicker. He moved briskly over to CJ’s bedside and put both hands onto CJ’s chest, trying to push him down. This startled CJ and he tried to fight back. “Whoever you are, let go of me! What did you do with Jen? What are you doing to me?!” “Mr. Palmer, calm down! Jen is right next to you. You’re in Melrose/Wakefield Hospital. We brought you here after the police found you unconscious. You just need to relax!” Ryder yelled above CJ’s almost drunken outbursts. After he had explained, practically yelling so the rest of the hospital could hear, CJ calmed down and laid back. Ryder repeated the same process with CJ’s eyes as he did Jen’s. CJ turned his head and looked at Jen. He had worry in his eyes. “Are you okay?” He asked, quickly. She smiled softly back at him. “I’m fine, CJ. Don’t worry, we’re fine.” He nodded back at her. He groaned again. “What happened?” “I don’t know. All I remember is the cloaked guy and the lightning.” “How the hell did he do that? That could not have happened.” “Well it did, CJ. And now we’re here.” Jen finished. “Sounds like you both had quite a dangerous convict to deal with, huh?” Ryder chimed in. Both CJ and Jen looked at him at the same time, and then nodded gently. “Well, I’ve finished my analysis. Your friends are in the waiting room so I’ll let them in if you want.” Ryder said, heading towards the door. “Please do.” Jen said. She adjusted and sat herself up. CJ did the same. And so Ryder headed out the door to retrieve their friends. CJ and Jen sat there in silence, while their thoughts screamed inside their heads.

Woo hoo! Another update. Chapter Nine: Dark Clouds over Proceedings -=Day 3=- 12:30 AM Paula stood near the window of the living room in her apartment. She was holding a glass, filled with wine. She looked out as the snow fall softly and quietly down past her window. She raised her glass and took a sip of her drink but still kept quiet as she watched. She seemed almost mesmerized by the light storm that had befallen Melrose. Sam came from behind her, almost holding a glass of wine and walked up next to her. She glanced over him quickly, slightly scared at his quietness of “sneaking up” on her. He caught her gaze and smiled. “Enjoying the snow?” He asked, taking a sip from his glass. “I’m not even really watching it. I’m just thinking.” She responded. “Ohh, I see. Is one of those things Haley?” He asked, half-joking. “Yeah, exciting isn’t it?” She said, a smile appearing on her face. “Yeah, it is. I’m glad for her.” He said, cheeringly. They both fell silent as they both looked outside the window. The snow hadn’t slowed down but it didn’t seem to be speeding up either. It was calm and relaxing to watch. “Why did it have to be today though?” Paula asked quietly. Sam turned to her. “Why does such good news have to be over-looked by something horrible happening?” Sam’s eyes wandered, looking for an answer. But he couldn’t come up with any. “I’m scared, Sam. Revere isn’t far from here. What if we’re attacked next? What if whatever attacked comes here?” She asked, fearfully. “I don’t know, Paula. I really don’t know. I guess all we can do is try and stay calm and not freak out about it.” He responded. “That’s a lot easier to say than to do.” She said, looking back outside. They both stood in silence, Paula staring out the window and Sam still staring at her. Sam turned his head and looked out the window. Then he finally spoke. “Have you ever gotten a weird feeling…like something bad is coming?” Sam asked, out of the nowhere. Paula turned her attention to him slowly. He took a sip of his wine and then turned his eyes on hers. “Why do you ask?” She asked. “I had that feeling five years ago, a day before I met you guys. I had a feeling that there was going to be a change in everything I had known. And there was, there was a huge change.” He explained. “I see. And why are you bringing that up now?” She asked, stirring the wine with her finger. “I had that feeling earlier today, when I stepped outside of Liza’s apartment.” He said. The chilling and matter-of-fact way he said it sent a shiver down Paula’s spine. She looked up at him, worry filling her eyes. “What are you saying, Sam?” She asked him. He turned to her slowly. She could see that there was worry and fear in his eyes as well. “I’m saying, I feel like something is going to change again. And not for the best.” Suddenly, Natalie’s bedroom door burst open. Sam and Paula both jumped and turned quickly on the now entering Natalie. Her hair was down and she was wearing a large red t-shirt. She had her cell phone in her right hand. She looked flustered and extremely scared. “CJ and Jen are in the hospital. They’ve been attacked.”

Aww, sad BTW, Chapter Seven is right below this. Chapter Eight: Clash of the Worlds -=Day Two=- 11:47 PM Melrose High School January 5th, 2011 The hallway was dark, the only light coming from the windows above the third floor hallway. And that light was very dim, barely revealing any parts of the long and wide hallway. There was no sound at all, the eerie quiet playing as an added bonus to the darkness. The tiled floor was slippery with dust and dirt from shoes. The walls were once white, but now were stained with dirt as well. Melrose’s money for the educational program at it’s best. CJ thought as he stood in the middle of the hallway, staring into the looming dark. CJ stood silent in the dark third floor hallway of Melrose High, his eyes scanning the dark for movement. The glasses resting on the bridge of his nose had been pushed up tightly against his face so he could see well. He was wearing a black baseball cap backwards, hiding his blonde hair. He shrugged his shoulders, adjusting his black leather jacket and his blue work shirt underneath that. How the hell do I get myself into these problems? CJ thought as he reached back behind his back. He pulled his revolver out of its holster and pulled it up, aiming it at the dark quietly. He then reached into his jacket with his right hand and pulled out his wallet. He held it up as well and let it open up, revealing a badge. “This is Detective Christopher Palmer speaking. If there is anybody in here, come out with your hands up and behind the back of your head. If you have any weapons, drop them to the ground and slide them towards me.” He said loudly, his voice echoing down the hall. Silence only answered him. He took a deep breath and put his badge back into his jacket. He fumbled around a little more and then pulled out a flashlight. He held it up and clicked it on, aiming it at the darkness in front of him. The beam of light struck the wall in front of him, revealing no danger. His face remained grim though and he took a step forward. “CJ!” He heard his name called from down below and his nerves jolted him once quickly. He shook off his shock quickly though for he recognized the voice. He moved over to the edge and looked over the side, aiming the flashlight down. Below he saw Jen, standing on the first floor with her gun and light drawn as well. She had her short hair tied in a pony tail that stuck out the back of her black police cap. She had a light blue jean jacket and black pants on. Her face was as serious as CJ’s. “Anything up there?” She asked him. He looked back quickly with the flashlight, making sure nothing had appeared while he had looked down. Nothing. He turned back. “Not yet…are we sure those reports are valid?” He asked her. “The chief says so. Four people said they saw a man in a dark cloak head towards and enter the school.” She said. “Alright, any word from Johnson and Willis?” He asked again. “Last time they radioed, no one was coming near the doors.” She answered him. That doesn’t mean that the guy didn’t find another way out. He thought. “Why did the chief send us to find this guy?” He asked her. “Oh, I don’t know CJ. Maybe the fact that the thousands of reports from Revere are about cloaked figures. And, if you remember right, the man that called in tonight said he saw a cloaked figure head inside this school. So obviously, this guy could be our first and only lead.” “Yeah, I guess so. Listen, you get up here and we’ll check the old chorus room hallway, alright?” “Sure, let me just do one more quick sweep down here.” And with that, she disappeared under the second floor bridge. CJ sighed and turned back to the door leading to the hallway. Nothing had changed thus far. He started walking slowly towards the doorway, his flashlight and gun aimed directly in front of him. He also listened intently, for any sign of an odd sound. He moved through the doorway and into the dark white concrete hallway. There were no windows so the only light came from CJ’s flashlight. He continued to move quietly, his footsteps barely making a sound. He stopped as he heard the door behind him open and he spun around, his gun ready. There stood Jen, her gun aimed at him. “Decided to go ahead of me?” She asked with a cocky smile. They both lowered their guns. “Just thought I’d check ahead while you caught up.” He shot back. She came up beside him and looked down the hallway, at the closed doors almost twenty yards away. “It doesn’t look like there’s too much danger to be worried about.” She said as she raised her gun again. He nodded and brought his gun up too. They moved together around the small corner so they were in the long hallway leading to the chorus room. Their flashlights illuminated the metal doors. “Do you have a weird feeling about thing?” She asked quietly as they took small steps towards the doors. “Yeah, a very weird feeling-…” He started but didn’t finish. Suddenly, there was a sound like something striking hard metal. The metal door on the left side of the doorway in front of them exploded off its hinge, and was flying right at them. CJ and Jen quickly burst into action; Jen pinned herself against the right wall while CJ rolled out of the way into the left wall. The door flew right through where they had just been standing and crashed loudly into the wall in the back. They both quickly looked back at it. There was a large mark in the middle, like it had been hit by a boulder, and small sparks of electricity were shooting around it. Then both of them spun around, their guns ready, towards the open doorway to confront the enemy. They’re flashlights illuminated a tall figure, covered in a black cloak, standing in the doorway. The hood covered all of its face so they couldn’t see it. They also couldn’t see much under the cloak but they could see tiny sparks of electricity running up the sleeve of its right arm. The figure’s hood slowly rose, seemingly to look at them. “Freeze! Don’t move any more!” Jen yelled. “Drop any weapons you have and put your han-…” CJ started to say after her. “And put my hands up and on the back of my head, I know. I heard you before, Detective Christopher Palmer.” A thick manly voice said. The man under the cloak chuckled a little. “Who the hell are you and why the hell are you in here?” CJ spat back. “I’m…a visitor. Here to check out what this place is like.” The cloaked man said, almost as if it was scripted. “As you can very well see, this is just a school building. There’s not much to check out.” Jen said. The man shook his head softly. “You do not understand in the least.” Jen sneered. “No and I don’t want to. Now put your hands up now!” “And if I don’t, what are you going to do?” The man asked, with strong confidence. Jen and CJ both cocked their guns, aiming at the man’s legs. “We’ll have to make you by force.” CJ said. “By force you say? Ah, now that is more like it. That’s more like the game I like to play, Detective Christopher Palmer. Well then, take your best shot.” The man said. His stance widened a bit and they saw his arms tense up. This guy must be on some bad crack. CJ thought. But we have no choice. He nodded slowly and Jen nodded in return. They both steadied their aim and pulled the triggers of their guns. The gunshots broke the silence like glass. The hallway lit up even more from them as well. The man spun quicker than either of their eyes could barely follow. They heard two loud and distinctive pings which meant the bullets had hit something metal. Then quickly followed by the sound of the bullets hitting the brick wall of the hallway. The man was suddenly facing them again. They stood there in shock. “I do hope that isn’t your best.” The man said. He stood up straight again, seemingly unwounded. “The Liberator has more bite than you two do put together.” Jen and CJ were both taken aback by the man’s comment. “Liberator? What Liberator are you talking about?” Jen asked cautiously They heard the man chuckle softly. They heard a loud popping sound and the right sleeve of the cloak started to move like wind was blowing out of it. “I’m sorry, but you haven’t earned the right to any of my knowledge. Now…it’s my turn.” The man brought his left hand and placed it on the wrist of his right hand. The sleeve blew back lightly and both of them could almost see what was hiding underneath. But it was blocked by a brilliant white and blue light that looked to be in an orb shape. Jen and CJ both raised their guns but it was already too late. The light exploded and two bolts of electricity shot out and hit them straight in the chest. They both started shaking violently as volts of electricity ran through their bodies. Their guns clattered to the ground as they fell to the ground as well, twitching. The bolts disappeared and they lay on the ground, in terrible pain. The cloaked figure slowly walked over to them. CJ, still shaking, managed to open his eyes and look at him, “That blast shouldn’t be enough to kill you, just injure you and cause you to go unconscious.” The deep manly voice chuckled malevolently. “You two are pathetic; weak representatives. You’re nothing compared to him. You use these firing metal things while he uses this…” The man said. CJ struggled to say something but his mind was shutting down and he couldn’t spit out the words. His eyes shut in pain. He heard something clatter to the ground and he struggled to open at least one eye again before he passed out. His left eye slowly started to open and he looked at the object dropped in front of him. It was fuzzy through his vision so he could barely tell what it was. But as his eye started to close, he thought it looked like a really long knife. And it had a gold lining running through the back of it… Then he passed out.

Hell yeah! Chapter Seven: Trail of Despair -=Day 2=- 11:11 PM Snow was falling again onto Melrose, giving the city a new dusting. It fell in a smaller amount this time, small flakes floating down to Earth. But it was still as quiet as usual. The dim lights of city buildings and houses shone brightly in the night. Few people made their way through the snow filled sidewalks, many of them walking their dogs. Only a few cars drove down the streets and they drove cautiously, making sure not to skid off the road. It was a calm and restful night. One of the cloaked figures stood quietly, watching the large building that was the Melrose High School. The hood was barely covering his face as it stayed emotionless. He brought his hands up and pulled his hood down, revealing his bald head. He raised his face to the falling snow and closed his eyes, relishing in the coldness. He brought his hands up and held them up to the heavens as a small smile crept onto his face. There was a loud zap sound, like lightning had just struck behind him. He didn’t flinch or change as a cloaked figure walked out of a scorched circle behind him, electricity still crackling on the snow. It walked slowly towards him, its boots crunching in the snow. When it was directly behind him, it stopped. “Geintz-…” It started. It had a high voice, like a female’s. The man dropped his left hand but kept his right up, signaling the, apparently woman, to stay quiet. Then he dropped his right hand, still covered in the odd gauntlet. “Levita, tell me honestly.” He said, turning to the female hooded figure. She seemed to tense up as his piercing silver eyes fixed on her. The two triangles in his eyes seemed to pulse, at least once, as his smile widened. “Do you feel any regret?” The woman’s hooded head cocked a little, as if confused. Then her hands came up (her right hand also covered in the gauntlet) and pulled off her own hood. Long silver hair flowed out from under the garment and fell onto her shoulders. She raised her own silver eyes to look at him. Her two triangles matched his exactly. Her pale blue face was beauteous to look at, almost mesmerizing given the light and the snow. “Regret? I do not know the meaning of the word.” She said quizzically. “I didn’t expect you to, Levita. Our culture isn’t taught that word because we’re taught not to experience it. Regret is…shall I say…sorry for actions we have done.” He explained. “You mean like shame or remorse?” She asked. “Yes, exactly. Have you ever felt that?” He said, folding his arms. “Of course not, Geintz. My bloodlust is unquenched with every kill, just like the rest of us. I will not stop my killing feast until I’ve found salvation from the power of the Gaelias.” She said, sternly. She raised her right arm and placed it hard against her chest, then quickly slammed her left hand onto it, as in a salute. “Just like I’ve been taught all my life.” “I thought not.” He said; an odd smile on his face. “Why? Should I feel…regret?” She asked, interested. “No, of course not. The Gaelias requires us to be unwilling to discuss and absolutely vicious. With every kill, we grow stronger in our connection with the Gaelias and thus we grow stronger and faster ourselves. You’re a worthy soldier, Levita. A lot more worthy than I can say about many of the warriors that I know. And I don’t mean to trouble your thoughts; I can see that I have.” He said as he watched her face look away from him. “The real reason that I ask is I wonder about the Liberator.” He said. “Ah yes, the Liberator.” She said knowingly. She nodded and crossed her arms. “You think he feels regret?” “I don’t know what he feels because he isn’t like us. He has a completely different structure and-…” He cut off, his anger starting to grow. He turned away and looked back into the night. Levita chose her words cautiously as he stayed quiet. “How do you know what regret is, Geintz?” He turned around slowly, to face her. His face had no smile on it again, but a sense of…calmness. “I know regret because of Whailen. He taught me about it. I know, how did Whailen know is your next question? Well, simply enough, he came across it in his many battles. He told me that he had broken into a throne room, where a king was hiding from our invading enemy. When Whailen walked up to him, the king laid down in front of him, with his head down. When asked why he gave up so quickly, he simply replied ‘Regret’. Whailen was confused and asked him what regret was. The king looked up and said ‘When you’re haunted by your mistakes.’ After he finished his story, Whailen looked me straight in the eye and said ‘Never feel regret.’ And I never have. Because I am a warrior; a better warrior than many of our repugnant kind!” Geintz turned around again; his anger had worked him up again. Levita stayed quiet, staring at him. When he seemed calm enough again, he started talking again. “You know, we’ve found them.” Her excitement was obvious by the way her face changed. “You’re serious? You found them this quickly?” “You’d be surprised how quick it is to find someone when you really pay attention. Panitil found the first two. And from there, we tracked down the rest of them.” He explained, with a sense of pride on his face. “That’s magnificent. All is going according to the plan and coming along much faster than we thought. Power to the Gaelias!” She said proud fully. “Indeed. As we speak, Panitil is about to come into contact with two more…” He said and he pointed at the high school across the street. “In there.” “What’s the plan, boss?” She said, almost like an excited school girl. He turned back to her, with an evil glint in his eye. The smile he wore only brightened because of the moon light bouncing off the snow. His pale blue skin seemed to glow in the night sky. “We give them a big clue.”

Technoooooo Chapter Six: Investigating and Sleuthing -=Day Two=- 7:59 “Did you call the others?” Jen asked as CJ walked back into their office. She was wearing a light blue shirt with her strap holster covering it. She was sitting back in her chair with her feet up on CJ’s chair, facing the door. CJ had taken off his jacket and was only wearing a white t-shirt. Ames was still working in Revere, helping taking out wounded and bodies out of the wreckage. “Yeah, I called them. I explained all I could. They’re pretty scared.” He said. “As they should be! Look at this mess, CJ. One hundred thousand dead. All in one night. How could that have happened? And not just dead, but slaughtered. Even the Empire-…” She paused, as she let the words sink in. “Even the Empire didn’t kill that many within one night.” “I understand that. I hear you, Jen. I really do. But we do need to figure out how this happened.” CJ moved over and sat down on Jen’s desk. He put his hand on her shoulder, reassuringly. “So let’s just get down to business, okay?” She looked up at him and then nodded quickly. “Good, now what facts do we have?” “Well, almost three fourths of Revere is destroyed. Over one hundred thousand men, women and children dead. There’s no real evidence of what caused all of the damage but thousands of the victims have burn marks on them. So we’re thinking fire is a possible cause.” Jen said, reading through papers. “How would someone use that much fire?” CJ asked. “Who knows, just a possibility. Plus we do have to take in the hundreds, even thousands of reports of the “cloaked figures.” How can we just let these sightings just be marked as negligible? There’s so many of them. How can that many people make them up?” “Well Jen, until we have either vivid proof or an officer sighting, we can’t take them seriously, according to the books. We just write them down and keep them under report.” CJ responded. “What we need is a first-hand report that comes in like, tonight. That way, we can get to the scene quickly. That would make it so much easier.” “Unfortunately, things like that don’t happen. Anyways, what else do we have?” “Not much else. CJ, we’re stumped.” CJ stayed quiet but he turned to her and looked into her eyes. She could see the fear and worry in them. “I know.” He finally said. “Hey you two!” One of the other officers burst in, holding a cell phone. “We have a caller claiming she’s seen one of the “cloaked figures” here, in Melrose. You need to get there, now!” The two didn’t even look at each other; they grabbed their jackets, grabbed other items that they needed and burst out the door.

Yeah, that's what this story is. Chapter Five: The Destruction Zone -=Day Two=- 2:35 PM “This is terrible.” Jen and CJ stood standing the corner of Squire Road, in Revere. They stood along with dozens of other police officers, among the wreckage and charred remains of…everything. They could see over the skylines billows and billows of smoke darkening the air. Sirens echoed all around. Almost every building in sight was burned to the ground. It was horrific. CJ shook off his shock, then looked over at Jen and tapped her shoulder. She shook off her own shock and nodded and they headed towards the mass gathering of officers. “Curley, Palmer, get over here!” They jumped slightly at the bellow. They quickly made their way over to Lieutenant Hudginson. The tall, white-haired man stood in a dark blue jacket with police officers surrounding him. His white beard was ruffled yet groomed. He adjusted his sun glasses as Jen and CJ made their way in front of him. “You two are late. Where have you been?” He said. His voice was rugged and gruff. “Sorry sir, we had a previous engagement. What’s going on?” Jen asked. “What do you think is going? Practically all of Revere is in shambles. We have hundreds dead, including police officers and I’ve been up and here since six in the morning. I am tired and so far, no government official has shown up like I’ve requested. And here you two are, showing up to this devastation late.” Hudginson yelled. “We’re sorry, sir. We’re here now. What do you want us to do?” CJ asked. “Look for bodies, you jackasses! See if you can find any survivors. Take Ames with you.” Hudginson said. Jen and CJ exchanged quick looks. Andrew Ames was Jen and CJ’s other partner. He was one of their close friends on the force and a great person to be with outside of the office. He hung out with the group occasionally and was a secret romantic crush of Samantha’s. At mention of his name, he came striding over to CJ and Jen. His short brown hair and brown beard brought out his deep brown eyes. “Hey guys, what are we doing?” He said. “You three are looking for survivors. Now get moving!” The Lieutenant bellowed. The three officers nodded and headed off towards the remains of the movie theatre. As they stepped over the fallen gates around the parking lot, Andrew spoke up. “How was the party you guys?” He asked with a small smile on his face. “It was fun, until we saw this mess.” CJ said plainly. “Yeah, sorry I couldn’t be there. I was on duty.” He said. “Thank god you weren’t on duty here.” Jen said. A hint of concern was in her voice. They moved through the debris of destroyed cars, fences and rubble looking for sign of life. The sound of their boots crunching against cement was the only sound that could be heard. It was eerie to all three. “So what are they saying about who did this?” CJ asked. “All we have to go on is they ‘eye witness’ reports. Figures dressed in black that can shoot lightning. Crazy, isn’t it?” He said CJ and Jen shot each other quick looks before Jen responded. “Yeah, crazy.” Both of their minds wandered back to five years ago, when “crazy” happened to them and brought them together. What was happening to them had seemed crazy at the time. And that’s what scared them even more now. They made their way to a flipped bus. As they got close, they saw a hand sticking out from the debris. All three quickly dashed over and started moving the rocks, desperately trying to uncover the body. Finally, they broke through and revealed an elder man. His face was cut and bruised…and pale. Andrew grabbed the man’s wrist and checked it for pulse. Jen and CJ stared at him as he slowly and solemnly shook his head. CJ shook his head as Jen stood up quickly, quite angry. Andrew continued to uncover the body after the other two stood up and looked over the rest of the parking lot. “My god, look at this you two.” He said as he revealed the body. His two partners turned around and looked. Their faces turned to confusion and they both knelt down. “His entire chest plate has been fried. It’s almost like he’s been burned by fire or electricity. He must have been caught in the fire from this bus. Isn’t it odd though…his face isn’t burned.” “That is weird. How could that have happened?” CJ asked. “No idea.” Jen responded. All three of them stood up and looked around. The destruction seemed to cover the entire world. It was almost like they were the last three people on the Earth. Dark rain clouds were moving in on the horizon. Andrew, CJ and Jen all stared at them blankly. Each one had a different thought on their mind. CJ looked down at the body again. Images flashed in his mind of the too many bodies he had seen. And they all started five years ago…He thought. He looked quickly at Jen. Could all this destruction be related to that? Could it be possible…that this is the Empire’s work? Could they have opened a portal again? No, no it can’t be. I refuse to believe that… It’s not possible.

I know, it took awhile. Just deal with it. And enjoy! Chapter Four: Echoes of the Past -=Day 2=- “Liza!” “Haley!” The two good friends greeted each other with screams of each other’s name as Liza opened the door. Haley ran forward, though the door was barely half opened, and wrapped her arms around Liza’s neck. The brunette was almost knocked off her feet as she in turn wrapped her arms around the blonde’s body. They embraced tightly, Haley still giggling with glee. In behind his wife walked Tony Rossi. His smile was just as inviting and delighted. He strolled in, wearing a black t-shirt with the writing “Enraged Oblivion” across the front. His large, muscled and tattooed arms were clearly visible since the sleeves were so short. “Haley, hunnie, I’m happy to see you too. But I need to breath.” Liza said. “Oh my, I’m sorry Liza. I’m just so excited to see you!” Haley said, her smile shining. Her hair was down and shining brightly in the light of the hallway. Her flowered white blouse illuminated her hair even more. “I know! How are you, Mrs. Rossi?” She asked, smiling back. She fixed her blue t-shirt and fixed her long brown hair, which was currently in a ponytail. Haley’s cheeks turned bright red as Tony came up behind her and took her hand in his own. “Absolutely amazing.” She replied. “We’ve been great.” Tony said, looking down at her. “Jeez, all the commotion in the hallway. Why don’t you all come in and see everyone?” Jeff said, emerging in the hallway. The three near the door turned to look at him then quickly followed after. When they turned in, they came to an uproar of cheers. Because inside the living room, all of their friends were either sitting or standing, waiting for them. The TV was buzzing softly in the background; the news was on. Hugs, kisses and hand shakes went around between everyone before they all calmed down and took seats. “Wow, I can’t remember the last time I saw all of us together like this.” Jen said, gleefully. Her brown hair was pulled up in a ponytail and she was wearing a white tank top. CJ, her partner, sat next to her wearing his police pants but with a black tank top. “We’ve all been so busy; it’s hard to see each other.” CJ said. Everyone nodded and agreed. “Hey Sacco, how’s the school going?” Jeff asked. His hair was just as long as it had been before he was captured and his glasses were resting snugly on his nose. His striped shirt was buttoned very loosely. “It’s been good. Teaching the techniques that I learned is fairly easy, especially when everyone seems interested in it.” Garret replied. He had barely changed; his hair was just as short and spiky, his goatee was a little longer but his physique was massive due to his immense karate training. “How’s school going for you two?” Liza asked Samfa, who was sitting next to Cameron. “It’s great! I’m having so much fun! I can’t wait to actually start teaching kids.” She replied, smiling brightly. Her hair was flowing down to half-way down her back. “It’s been really good. I use most of what I learn at school at Sam’s lab because I feel it will help us.” Cameron said. His hair was much shorter than it used to be. “Speaking of it, how is the research going?” David asked, looking over at Sam. He had barely changed except he was wearing a suit that was part of his job. “It’s going slowly. It’s really hard to harness the energy and power behind electromagnetic energy. But we keep trying and I’m more than sure that we’re close to making a breakthrough.” He said. “So you mean…we could soon open a portal again?” Natalie asked softly. There was a moment of silence. “Yeah, hopefully.” Cameron said. Everyone fell silent as they all recollected about the past and what opening the portal could mean. But Jeff broke the silence. “Anyways, so I made dinner for everyone. Now let’s eat!” Jeff said loudly and proud. Everyone cheered and made their way towards the dining room. * * * * * * * * * * * * “Well that was absolutely delicious.” Haley said as she plopped down on the couch. Garret was already sitting on the couch, drinking a soda. He was watching the news. “Yeah, I never knew that Jeff was such a good cook.” Garret said, smiling. “You’d think the only thing he was good at was solving equations and making potions.” Both of them laughed at Garret’s joke. After getting their entire chuckling out, they silenced down and listened to their friends still eating and talking in the dining room. “It’s nice, isn’t it?” Garret said, looking at Haley. “It really is.” Haley responded. “I love seeing everyone together.” “I know what you mean.” Garret said softly. Haley looked at him, studying his features. Then she spoke cautiously. “You wish you had a chance to get to know him, don’t you?” Haley asked softly. Garret smiled. “Yeah, I do. The only time I really got to know him, I took a knife to the gut for him.” “I’m sure he appreciated it.” She said. “And even then, I feel like I didn’t do enough. Take him for example; he took his own life to save our world.” He responded. “You saved his life. You gave him that chance. You live up to what he was too. I promise.” “Thanks Haley.” He said, looking at her. His eyebrow ruffled and he gave her a questioning look. She responded by looking at him with the same look. A small sly grin snuck onto his face. “Haley…you’re-…” He started. She squealed and covered his mouth with her hand. She looked back into the dining room then looked back at him. “Shhh.” He took her hand away. “Haley, when did you know?” He said softly. “Tony and I found out this morning. I just want to surprise everyone together.” She whispered. She was beaming. “Well, congratulations to you two.” He said as he quickly glanced at the news. “I know, it’s really…exciting…” She slowed down her words as she noticed Garret was leaning forwards, towards the TV. She glanced at it. One the screen was destruction. Flaming buildings, cars flipped everywhere and bodies strewn on the ground. Garret picked up the remote quickly and turned the volume up extremely loud, so loud that everyone in the dining room could hear it. A female reporter’s voice washed into the apartment. “This is the scene that has unfolded in Revere, Massachusetts. Nearly every building that was standing has either collapsed or is still burning. Police have not identified anyone that has caused this destruction, but eye witness accounts claim that nearly a dozen figures covered in cloaks were the culprits. They and I quote “shot lightning out of their hands”. Now police officials aren’t saying anything but considering the number of people with this claim, this reporter finds it hard to disbelieve. The body count is uncertain but it continues to rise almost every minute. We’ll keep you up to date with every new development.” By now, everyone was in the living room watching the news. No one said a word as the report went back to the news desk. No sound could be heard from any of the group, as they all stared blankly at the TV. Where destruction that was almost all too familiar had occurred again. All they could do was stare, fear… And wonder.

Chapter Three: Terrifying Emergence -=The First Day=- 11:47 PM The streets of Revere echoed with the sounds of the city night; car horns, dogs barking, and people yelling. The night was cool and snowy, the fresh powder having fallen not that long ago. But there were no clouds in the sky now; the stars were shining bright down on the large city. It was peaceful, even for the city. A single man walked down the middle of one street, moving slowly and lazily. His steps were staggered and inaccurate. He was singing softly to himself, the song “Don’t Stop Believing”. In his hand, he was carrying a brown paper bag, in the shape of a bottle. His words were slurred and he would start hysterically laughing at random times. The man was obviously drunk off his rocker. “Just a small time girl….! Living in a lonely world….” The man was practically yelling. He staggered to his left and nearly fell over the street curb. He stifled a laugh as he got his balance again, or at least tried to, then continued walking. He brought his paper bag alcohol up to his lips to take a sip. “Bah, no more rum.” He grumbled. “That sucks.” He threw his empty alcohol back behind him, letting out a cheer. He waited for the sound of the glass breaking on the pavement. But he never heard it. He drunkenly tried to turn himself around, almost falling over. His vision was blurry so he couldn’t quite make out what he was seeing. Eleven tall and cloaked figures stood in a straight line behind him, they’re faces hidden under their hoods. Their black cloaks moved gently with the wind that was blowing. Their arms were straight down next to their sides and they stood erect as statues. The tallest figure, the one in the middle, had its right hand up and it was holding the bottle. Its hand was a pale blue color, reflecting the night lightly. Covering its hand and arm was a large metal gauntlet, sharp points and ridges covering it. It stuck tightly onto its skin. The only free part of its hand was the finger tips and the under part of the hand, which was holding on tightly to the bottle. It stepped forward towards the drunk man. “Hey dude, what the hell are you all supposed to be? Cultists? Halloween already passed by, you idiots.” The drunken man said, scoffing. A chuckle emerged from the figure walking towards him. “What’s so funny, Chuckles?” The man said, stepping forward to counteract the figure. It remained silent, still walking towards him. It held the bottle out towards the man as they got closer. “You gonna give me back my bottle? Psh, you can just drop it for all I care” He muttered with a chuckle. He saw the figure’s hood rise up a little, as if to look at him better. They were only steps away from each other. The figure gave a slight nod and the bottle slipped from its hands. The bottle fell almost in slow motion. As it slipped past the figure’s fingertips, the gauntlet suddenly whirred to life. Electricity crackled down the metal covering the fingers and formed a ball of lightning, hovering right above the figure’s palms. Electricity continued shooting into the ball, keeping it spinning. The figure thrust his arm forward even more, pushing the electric ball into the man’s chest. The man’s eyes bugged out as the electricity ran through his body. His body shook violently. A growl emerged from under hood and the drunken man’s chest exploded with a loud crack. A charred hole was left where the figure’s gauntlet covered hand was now. And the bottle wasn’t even half way to hitting the ground. The bottle shattered loudly on the ground, and the man’s dead body soon followed with a thud. The hooded figure looked down at the body, and then looked back at the other figures. It raised its hands and pulled the hood back and off its head. A man’s face with a bald head emerged from the dark cloak. But the skin was in a shade of blue, almost as if it were frozen. Piercing silver eyes looked around at the buildings. Two black and red triangles were imprinted over the man’s eyes, pointing towards his pupil. A thin smile graced his blue face and pearly white teeth shone in the night. His eyes looked back and he cocked his head back towards the other figures. “Destroy it.” He said softly but just loud enough for them to hear. “Destroy it all”

Chapter 2: Screaming Signs -=The First Day=- 3:48 PM The gruesome drills spinning, ready to devour her Screaming An evil laugh Body-sewn streets Blood…blood everywhere. “Give us what we WANT!” Paula screamed as she sat up quickly, emerging from a nightmare. Her tear-filled eyes were wide open and cold sweat ran down her body. Her hands were red from gripping the couch. She heard another girl screaming along with her. And just as suddenly as it had happened, the screaming stopped. Paula was sitting straight up, panting for air. Her white tank top was soaked because of the sweat. On the other side of the room, in front of a computer, Natalie was sitting. Her face was shocked, toiled in fear. Her right hand was holding onto her chest. She took a deep breath. “Jesus Christ, Paula! What the fuck are you screaming about?!” Natalie said, angrily and fearful. She released her chest and fixed her sweat shirt. “A nightmare. A horrible…horrible nightmare.” Paula said, practically crying. Natalie watched as Paula put her face to her hands, still breathing heavily. She stood up and walked over to her room mate then sat down next to her. “What happened?” Natalie asked, putting her arm around Paula’s shoulders. Paula struggled to get her breath back. When she could finally breathe, she looked up at Natalie’s face and started to explain. “I saw the Shredder again; barreling towards me like it was five years ago. I saw people standing on the sidewalks, screaming. I heard someone laugh, something evil and deep. Then the streets filled with bodies, so many bodies. And there was blood…there was blood everywhere. Pools of it. Everywhere. And some….thing. Some inhumane thing stood in the middle of the bodies. And it reaches its hard out to me and said “Give us what we want” before lightning shot out of his fingertips. Then I woke up. It was so horrible.” Paula said, tears streaming down her face. “My god…that is gruesome.” Natalie whispered. She knew her friend and room mate didn’t usually dream, save think, about things as gruesome as that. So it was not surprising to see her horrified reaction to her own dream. She pulled Paula in for a hug and she held her tightly. “It’s okay, hun. It was just a dream. A very bad dream.” “It felt so real though.” Paula said softly. “I’ve never had a dream that felt so real.” “I know but you just have to tell yourself that it wasn’t real. You’re here, in your apartment, with me.” Natalie said. Natalie continued to hold Paula until she stopped sniffling. Then she let her out of the hug and looked at her. Paula looked back up at her and nodded softly, finally believing what Natalie was saying. “I didn’t even realize you had fallen asleep. I was so busy with school work.” Natalie said, half-jokingly. Paula smiled softly. “Yeah, I should probably start correcting papers.” Then she started to get up and stretch. “I don’t know how you can stand to be a teacher. It can’t be an easy job.” Natalie said, getting up and moving over to her work place again. “Well, it makes a living.” Paula said. She pulled over her briefcase and started to rummage through it. They both started working, staying silent. Natalie tapped on her computer keys while Paula wrote and scribbled on papers in front of her. “Hey Natalie.” Paula said. “Yeah?” Natalie asked quietly. “Do you believe in destiny?” Natalie stopped typing and looked over at Paula, who was still correcting papers. “Why do you ask?” Natalie rebuttled. “I don’t really know myself. I was just thinking about how everything has happened up to now. And something just tells me that we were meant to meet each other. That we all were meant to end up like we did.” She said. When Natalie didn’t answer right away, Paula looked up at her. “Even…what happened to Ian?” She said softly. “He gave his life to save you all. It’s the most honorable thing anybody can do. I think he was meant to save us all. Natalie nodded her head slowly, trying to shake off tears. “I think so too. I just…I just wish it hadn’t happened.” Paula slowly got up and walked over to his friend. She took her in a hug. “We all wish it didn’t happen. But we’re making the most of the life he gave us. You know that.” “Yeah, I know. It’s still hard though.” Natalie said softly. “I just wish we could have done something more. Paula stayed quiet, unable to think of an answer. “All we can do now is pray that we’re living the life he would want us to live.” She finally said. Natalie sat there listening to Paula’s words. She thought back to all of the memories with Ian, before they came to this world and after. She thought about how he used to look. About the way he looked right before he ran into the portal, leaving her and them all forever. He was so sure of himself. She thought. He knew all along what he would have to do. For us. She smiled softly. “I think we are.” Natalie said. I think we truly are.

Chapter 1: Same Old Day -=The First Day=- The day was calm. The air was bitter and cold, the temperature below freezing. Snow had covered the ground all over Melrose. There was no wind so there was no added wind chill. But it felt dry. Dry and cold. The suburban area of the city seemed to be a completely different land. Especially Mount Hood. The sky was clear and the sun was shining down brightly on the snow covered ground of the golf course mountain. A large pillar statue stood at the top of one of the hills, looking over the rolling hills and woods below. It was a dedication for all the people who died five years ago from the invasion of Empire. A list of all deceased was etched into its flat side. Frost and icicles hung from its hard stone form as its shadow extended its way down the hill. Right in front of it, a small little rock stood imbedded in the ground. Frost clung to it as well but it was still readable. “In Memory of Ian Allan: An Unsung Hero.” It was a cold, calm day. Liza Nagle stood quietly in front of the memoir, her arms crossed in front of her. She was wearing a heavy brown winter jacket. Her hair was still long and brown, but it was tied up in a ponytail. Her eyes were glazed over in memory, tears dried and frozen against her face. She let out a deep sigh before bringing her right hand up and wiping under her eyes. She then looked back at her friend’s stone. “I miss you so much, Ian.” She said softly, more tears emerging from her eyes. She closed her eyes and shook her head gently. The sound of crunching snow caught her attention and she turned around to see a silver car pulling up and parking next to her own red car. She quickly turned around and tried to wipe her tears away. She heard the car door shut and she did her best to put on a smile as she heard footsteps come closer to her. “I thought I might find you here.” A man’s voice said. Liza chuckled as Sam Biancuzzo came up beside her. His large body was defined by his black trench coat. He stood much taller than Liza; almost two heads above her. His glasses reflected the sun as he looked at Liza through them. He had grown a small goatee that brought out his face much more than when it was bare. He put on a soft smile, out of politeness. “What makes you say that?” Liza asked him, giving him an appreciative smile back. “Well, I called your apartment and no one picked up. So that meant that both you and Jeff were out and about. Jeff managed to pick up his cell phone and he told me that you were going somewhere to visit someone. I quickly concluded that you must have meant here, by our dedication.” Sam explained to a laughing Liza “You know, sometimes you’re too smart for your own good.” Liza said, coming down from her laughter. “Hey, I’m a physicist. It’s my job to make intelligent deductions.” He chuckled back. They both continued laughing for a minute before falling eerily silent. They were both staring into one another’s eyes. Liza broke the contact and looked back at the rock. “How are your Masters’ studies going?” Sam asked. “Oh, it’s great. I love the sports recreation program. It’s really defined and in-depth. And I’m good at it! I really feel like I’m going to make a great sports coach.” She said excitedly. “Yeah, I know you will. You have the energy for it.” He said. “How’s the lab? Any scientific breakthroughs?” Liza asked. “Not really. We’ve been testing different elements and focusing energies with them and such. It’s really complicated and, sometimes, aggravating when it comes to dealing with the elements on Earth.” Sam said. Sam worked as a scientist in a lab in Boston. He and his colleges had been working on focusing the energy of the elements in this world to create a portal, similar to the one that the Empire used to get to Earth. Sam first provoked the idea because he was determined on opening the portal back to the world that Jeff, Jen, Liza, Samfa, David, Natalie and Garret came from. He was convinced that Ian was still alive in that world. “You’re putting a lot into this project, aren’t you?” Liza said softly. “Of course I am. I want to get Ian back. Or at least, see what happened to him.” He responded. “That’s why Cameron comes and works there too. He wants to help. Liza stood silently. Her thoughts ran through all of their friend’s faces. They all have done so much for us here. They really helped us get through a really hard time. Now look at us all now. I’m in college for sports rec. Natalie is in college for theatre. Garret owns his own karate school. Jeff is a certified genius and a teacher at Boston University. Samantha is going to school to be a teacher. Jen works for the police department and David is working at Melrose City Hall. And it’s all because they took us in when we were new to this world. “You still there?” Sam asked. Liza shook off her thoughts and turned to Sam. “Yeah, sorry. I was just thinking about you guys and how you’ve helped us. She said. “Ah, it was the least we could do. You saved us all and our world from chaos.” He responded. They smiled softly to one another again. Then they looked again at the memorial. “What do you think is meant for us all? In the future, I mean.” She asked him. “It’s hard to tell sometimes. We’ve managed five years together and look at us now. We’re all mature adults. We’re not kids anymore. Granted, we went through a scary and horrific time, five years ago, but I don’t think we’ll have to deal with anything along those lines anymore. The Empire must have been destroyed in your world or they would have re-emerged by now. We’re safe. And we’ve moved on. I mean look at Tony and Haley; they just got married to one another. And we all have jobs and schools to help us all become successful. I think we all have a bright future ahead of us.” Liza smiled softly. He has a way to making us feel safe with his words. “Thanks Sam. I really appreciate you saying that.” “Don’t worry about it. Now let’s say we get out of this freezing cold and we go to lunch. Doesn’t that sound good? I think Paula and Samfa will really enjoy seeing you. “Yeah, I’d like that.” And with that, they took one last look before heading back towards their cars. Liza climbed into her red car and started it up. As Sam opened the door to his own car, he felt a cold wind start up. It sent chills down his spine as he felt it blow, towards the memorial statue. He shook it off and stepped inside his car. As his car started up and began to pull away, a cloaked figure slowly walked out from behind the pillar statue. It watched after the two cars driving away with an eerie silence. It then walked slowly around the pillar more and turned, standing in front of Ian’s rock. A guttural growl emerged from under the hood. The wind was blowing harder. A long pang sounded out, like metal hitting something hard. A large slice ran down the middle of the rock, cutting the words dedicated to Ian in half. The cloaked figure continued to stand there, the wind blowing hard and different. The wind of change.

Anti-Reality 2 United A Sequel to the Epic Story Anti-Reality Written by Ian Allan Introduction: Glance into the Looking Glass Alternate realities exist. Not only do they exist…there are hundreds, thousands, even millions of them. Every single one different from the former. Some are inhabited by humans, some by creatures, and others aren’t even colonized. Yet, no one had yet to discover the hidden elemental portals between them all. That is, until the Jaren Empire accidentally built one, using electromagnetic energy. The gateway that they finally ended up building connected the worlds of Aern and Earth together. “We will incorporate the people under our open arms and make them members of our regime.” The Empire tried to conquer the world. But there was a resistance. A rebellion on Aern was already fighting the Empire. Six teenagers tried to stop the invasion. But found themselves on Earth, fighting alongside six teenagers from that world. They won, with help from two other teens. They closed the portals and the two worlds were closed off from each other But it came at a heavy cost. A boy sacrificed his life to save the friends he loved. That happened five years ago. Aern was freed from the Empire’s evil claws by an all out attack by rebellions all over the world. Earth went back to its normal state, Melrose started to rebuild itself after the attempted invasion. The teenagers were honored for their bravery and they made their own dedication for the boy who gave his life. And they moved on with their lives, the seven from the other world adjusting and learning how to live with freedom they had been given. Prosperity, although meager in all, returned to the lives of the people on Earth. But peace can not last forever. That’s how the saying goes; “The more things change…the more they stay the same.” * * * * * * * * * * * * The snow fell silently and softly to the cold, white and gray ground. The night was silent as well in the cold city of Melrose, the blizzard having passed by and now the soft remnants continued to cover the land. It was the good snow too; not too fluffy and not too sticky. It was what one would define as “perfect snow”. It was Christmas Eve; families slept deep in hopes of a good Christmas morning full of presents and bonding and cheer. It was going to be a perfect white Christmas. The city buildings stood eerily in the falling snow, shadows of their destruction all but gone. The city had been rebuilt, people had been honored and life went on. The pain and fear had diminished into peace and prosperity. For five long years, there hadn’t been commotion…no danger of which to speak that was “out of the ordinary”. A cloaked figure stood silent, standing on top of the city hall clock tower. It watched over the city, the snow slowly falling and melting into its black cloak. Its arms rested at its side, covered by the long sleeves. It cocked its head to its left softly, as if looking over its shoulder. Another cloaked figure walked up slowly to the first one, standing slightly behind them. They both stared forward over the city. “It’s beautiful…the snow.” The original figure said. It had a manly voice, higher than normal but still manly. “It’s just like home.” The other figure said. Its voice was deeper than the other one’s. The first figure chuckled softly and brought its right arm up. The sleeve slowly fell down its arm and revealed its hand. A metal object was attached to its right hand, running all the way down its fingers as well. The figure’s hand was a pale bluish color. It spun it around, palms up, and held it up. A snowflake fell softly into its hand. “It even feels the same.” He said. “This could be a perfect second home.” “Don’t get any ideas. You know why we’re here.” The other said coldly. The first figured looked over its shoulder again. “Yes, I know.” And he shook off his hand. “What makes you so sure that he will come here?” The other figure said. “He’ll come. If he’s been tracking us as well as we’ve been tracking him, he’ll come.” “So do you think we still need a little…inspiration to get him here?” “Of course. We just need to weed them out and find them. There are hundreds of people in this city. And we don’t even know if they’re all still here. But don’t worry, we’ll find them.” The second figure scoffed and shook its head softly. “And then he’ll come. Then we can finally take back the third Gaelias.” “Oh yes…we’ll take it back.” “I’m going to report to the others. I’m assuming you’ll be joining soon?” The first figure nodded. The second one turned around and headed back behind the bell tower. The first figure looked up at the sky slowly, the snow still continuing to fall softly. “I will take the Gaelias back. And I will avenge our brother’s death. Everything you’ve done to our plans, all the ruin and destruction you caused, I will repay you for. Mark my words.” Merry Christmas

Five years ago….. Earth was threatened by a hostile force called the Jaren Empire. “This ‘Earth’ is bound to have new technology and science that we can use to our advantage. And once we’ve established our new empire on the planet, we will incorporate the people under our open arms and make them members of our regime.” They came from a reality only linked by a gateway built by them. “We found a portal to another dimension tied to our own. This Trans-Dimensional Gateway can successfully transfer material through to the other dimension.” They were fought against by twelve teenagers; six from Earth and six from the other world. “Ian, Sam, Natalie, Liza, Samantha, Paula, CJ, Jeff, Jen, Cameron, Haley and Tony.” Their invasion failed. They were defeated by the twelve teenagers…and the remaining citizens of Melrose. “We did it! The Empire’s army has been defeated!” But it came at a heavy cost of citizens…and one of their friends. “We may never meet again…but we’ll never forget each other. Never forget me, please.” “Ian! You’ll be killed! Please don’t do this!” And the gateways between both worlds were finally closed, stopping any further danger from going through… Now… The teenagers have grown up. “It seems like forever since we have all been together like this.” “It’s almost unbelievable. It has only been five years since everything happened.” And a new evil force threatens the lives of the people on Earth. “Last night, there were reports of eleven figures that could ‘shoot blue lightning balls from their hands’. They claim this is how the good amount of Revere that was set aflame last night occurred.” The group is now up against a force that can seemingly over-whelm them. “You can’t defeat us. We have more technology and power than you can possibly imagine. You’ll die if you try and fight us.” “CJ was almost killed last night. He emptied two entire clips into one of those things and it was still standing. How the hell can we fight against something like that?!” But… “They used a Trans-Dimensional rift to get to this world. That means that there are still ways to travel to other dimensions!” …with the coming of a new evil. There comes an old hero…born anew. “Who the hell is that?!” “Oh my god…it can’t be.” The group must find the courage to fight again… “If we don’t fight, the whole world will be destroyed.” “And if we do fight, we could die.” And unite…once more. Here it is...the final chapter Chapter 22: The Proper Farewell Mount Hood, Massachusetts October 27th, 2006 1:24 PM The sky was brighter than the weather forecast had said. And warmer, much warmer than forecast as well. The once blood and body covered hill of Mount Hood had been cleared and cleaned by army officials. All the Judges had been confiscated and removed to be inspected and all Melrose citizens were brought for questioning about what had transpired over the last two days. News centers all over the world reported on what had happened in the tiny city of Melrose, all praising the citizens for standing up and defending possible world domination. A memorial was to be erected in the place of the burned down resort building, praising all those who fell in the name of Earth. It was a joyous time. The eleven teenagers stood at the top of the hill, where the resort building has been. They looked over the land below, the forested area. They stood in silence, their minds racing. Finally, Tony turned to look at the rest of the group. “It’s amazing…only two days ago…this place was a blood-covered battle ground. Now it’s back to the way it was, minus the resort building.” He said softly. “All of Melrose is trying to get back to the way things were before the Empire crashed into our lives. But it’s so hard to move past such a traumatizing experience.” Haley said. The rest of the teenagers nodded softly in agreement. There was silence for a few minutes as they all went back to staring. “Hey!” They all heard from down the hill. They all turned around to look at who was calling. Two boys were making their way up the hill towards them; David and Garret. David was helping Garret along as he was still hurt from his wound. Liza and Jeff quickly moved down the hill and helped David with Garret. They got him up the hill and the rest of the group gathered around him. “How are you doing?” Sam asked, bent down next to him. “I’m doing alright. Just very sore.” Garret said, chuckling a little. “How’s everyone else?” They all mumbled their answers. “That good, huh?” Garret asked. His smile weakened a little. Then he sighed. “This is my entire fault…” “No, don’t blame yourself. It took a lot to give up all you’ve ever known and save Ian and Sam. We all respect you for that, really.” Paula said softly. “If it’s anyone’s fault…it’s mine.” David said. “I could have stayed; I could have helped him and then he’d be here with us. Now…we don’t even know if he’s alive.” “It’s no one’s fault, guys.” Natalie said. “It’s not even Ian’s fault. He did what he believed was right and in the end, it seems like he was. We’re all here, safe from the Empire’s world. He sacrificed himself to save us all.” “It’s just not fair. He deserved this just as much as we do.” Jen said sadly. “Yeah, he did. But now, all we can do is hope that he succeeded in doing what he set out to do and is in a better place now.” CJ said. “I don’t want to believe that he could be dead…I just can’t.” Samfa said. “We don’t know what happened to him, we can’t assume anything.” Cameron said. “Yeah, but we will never see him again; he sealed the gateway both here and there. And all the research about the portals was in that world.” Liza said. “But you know what? He wouldn’t want us to sit here and mope about his death. He wants us to take advantage of the world we’ve been given.” Jeff said. They all looked among each other then nodded in agreement. They al turned back towards the hillside, watching. “Goodbye Ian.” Cameron said. “You’ve done more for us than we ever asked.” Samfa said. “More than you should have been allowed to do.” CJ said. “And now we can never say our real thanks for it.” Liza said. “But we all know how much you loved us.” Garret said, holding the family heirlooms. “We pray for you every moment of every day.” David said. “And our hearts are with you.” Jen said. “And with each other, just like you would want.” Jeff said, taking Jen’s hand. “We’ll always stay together.” Haley said. “Because that’s how it’s meant to be.” Tony said. “We’ll always remember that it was you who gave us this chance to live.” Paula said. “And we’ll live it, in memory of you.” Natalie said. Sam stepped forward and dropped the backpack he had on his back. He unzipped it and opened it up. He reached his hands in and pulled out a giant round rock. Each one of them had carved their names and prayers into the rock and in the middle of it, they had written ‘In Memory of Ian Allan; An Unsung Hero.’ Sam pushed the rock down into the ground, ten feet away from the predetermined spot for the actual monument. He stood up as they all looked down on it. “And we’ll never…ever forget you.” Sam said finally. The sun broke through the clouds and covered the hill in light. The thirteen teenagers stood there, staring at their dedication. And they all smiled. The End
